Enjoy. I wish I had enough to give each of you. I am thinking about brewing a batch for every home game with customized labels if there is enough interest. JRock

Excellent Excellent Media exposure. GO MEAN GREEN! JRock

I like how that sounds. Good edit. JRock

....just some friendly college football razzing. We all know this goes back and forth between NT and SMU. As long as it's clean and for fun, I think it's fine.
-
I'm sure that can be arranged. I think our brew has gone viral. LOL. Like I said, we should have brewed more. Heck, we could make a tradition out of this every year to celebrate the season.

Not everyone, but some yes. By the way I'm a fellow Sig Ep. JRock

Don't get me wrong, I'm all about supporting local teams but seriously. A little too much glitz and glamor if you ask me. I think you have to give up your man card when you walk in there. Hopefully it looks better in person. JRock

Is this a locker room or a nightclub? Let the voting begin. http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/college-sports/smu-mustangs/20110817-see-the-photos-smu-football-team-gets-a-fancy-new-locker-room.ece JRock

Thanks. I look forward to meeting some of you guys at the game. JRock

I wish we had made more. I will certainly plan on it for the other home games. I'm sure there will be a fan or too who will get a taste at some point. JRock

It's a home brew my buddy and I cooked up. I should have brewed more for the game. It seems many are wanting a taste.

Thank you. JRock

I must say gentlemen...It turned out very well. Nice color...little bit of sweet and spice. Not too hoppy. JRock

A BIG thumbs up. Couldn't agree more.

So my friend and I brewed some Oktoberfest for the Sept game to pay tribute to our players, coaches, athletic program and of course the fans. Thought you all would enjoy seeing this. Here is the label. GO MEAN GREEN! JRock

See the new thread I posted about what NT sent me today regarding tailgating. JRock
-
Here is what I was sent today from NT. It still does not answer the question about dropping things off in the old Radisson parking area then moving car to Fouts. Here's an overview on tailgating, parking and game day highlights. You can start tailgating as early as 8 a.m.: Arrive early for a full day of festivities, including the Mean Green March, live entertainment and the Junior Mean Green Fun Zone. Bring your tents, grills, smokers, food and beverages and set up your tailgate party in 26 acres designed to accommodate fans at the new Apogee Stadium. Tailgating opportunities also are available at Fouts Field and other locations on campus. Tailgating game day parking: Parking lots around UNT’s Apogee Stadium are reserved for Mean Green Club members. Fans can anticipate a short walk over the North Texas Boulevard bridge to the stadium grounds. Plans call for a pedestrian bridge crossing I-35E to be ready for the 2012 season. Paid parking is available at Fouts Field and free parking is available northeast of North Texas Boulevard on the main campus. For additional information on parking, traffic and pedestrian flow, visit meangreensports.com. Game day highlights: • 3 hours prior to kickoff: Enjoy live musical entertainment and the Junior Mean Green Fun Zone featuring rides and games for children of all ages adjacent to Apogee Stadium. • 2 hours prior to kickoff: Watch the Mean Green March including the Green Brigade Marching Band, North Texas Dancers, North Texas Cheerleaders, Head Coach Dan McCarney and the Mean Green football team. • 30 minutes prior to kickoff: Fans are encouraged to be in the stands to enjoy the Green Brigade pregame extravaganza and welcome the Mean Green to the field with the traditional public address call of “Heeeeeeeeeeere Comes the Mean Green ...!” • Postgame: Mean Green fans are encouraged to remain in the stands as the Green Brigade Marching Band performs the traditional Green Brigade postgame concert. That's hilarious about your experience in 8th grade. No different than lions, tigers and bears. Oh my. Branding is even more important now because the new stadium is not only a huge step facilities wise, but tremendously symbolic as well. I love our logo but calling it the SOW (Son of Worm) sounds so goofy. I think we need to re-brand what we call it without question. I think the "Eagle" suffices. ; ) Who cares that at one time we had a logo that looked like a worm. In all honesty, they look nothing alike. JRock
-
Pure greatness. Lol. Couldn't agree more. JRock

I know this is beating a dead horse but can we get a real answer as to why the Eagle is not on the helmet. And don't give me so people know who we are. It's on our jerseys...blah blah blah. Also, us fans needs an official statement on tailgating guidelines. Lots of misinformation out there on where to park and who can park there. JRock
-
No question. The University needs to post some very clear directions on their website and facebook so there is no confusion on game day. JRock
-
I think the chants will certainly be a good thing to master in the new stadium. Honestly the fan that sits there like he/she's watching golf needs a little excitement during the game. JRock
-
I was there this morning at 7:45 and the ticket office was nice enough to let me buy my tickets before they even opened. 23 tickets in the Wing Zone. But I was told today that only season ticket holders can park on the side next to the stadium. I'm waiting to buy my season tickets next year after I scope the place out this year. She did say that non season ticket holders had to park their cars at Fouts and tailgate there. Otherwise, you we have to trek across the bridge and haul our stuff to the green areas around the stadium. Not very happy about this. Should be first come first serve as far as tailgating. Hopefully the tailgating "rules" can be more clear as we get closer to the game. GO MEAN GREEN! JRock
