I'm 36 and did the same thing. I leaned over and kissed my wife, then I was gone. I too heard the players saying how appreciative they were for the support from the fans. Our boys needed to have an up close and personal "Good job!". We had a great time last night. GO MEAN GREEN! JRock

The DFW local news has gotten to the point where they insert their personal views about what teams to support and not support etc. I stopped watching local news years ago. JRock

Um...No. Our boys deserved some up close and personal "Great Job" or "Congrats". Several times I heard fans say "Great job" or "Congrats" to our players...the player responded "Thank you for all of the support". They needed that last night no question. GO MEAN GREEN! JRock

The aggressiveness of the team is becoming evident. We sat just left of our sideline and the professionalism of the coaching staff is night and day to what garbage we have seen since the New Orleans Bowl era. Even if the negative nancys of the fanbase/public look close enough, there are little gems of improvement throughout. I like to think of these things as the steel framing, concrete and mortar that is binding the most important components of our program. It's a great time to start inviting past alums, friends and neighbors to the games. JRock

Guys, I LOVE reading these kind of stuff from people who get their perceptions from news sound bites and random news articles about UNT. There is NO DOUBT in my mind we are going places. And when we bring a force of aggressive wins each season, the comments and attitude will change. The news stories will change. The pendulum always swings both ways. Schools like, LSU, UT, OU etc weren't born with the reputations they have. It's all about the performance. Changing the attitude of the public/fans is not as hard as everyone makes it out to be. UNT admin is finally on board, enrollment is growing, the commuter school reputation is fading (and doesn't really matter anyway mind you) and we have facilities that players/fans want to be around. Not to mention the alums that are increasingly coming back to UNT to get involved. Good times gentlemen. Good times. JRock

I agree with your "wildcat" comments. It was great to see. But...My expectations have and will always be high. If I learned anything from teaching inner city high school students in Oak Cliff, one must always have high expectations even in realistic times. That's how you build steps to achievement. My wife (LSU Alum) and I were at the game last night on the Alumni side and several around us commented about the energy the students were showing throughout the game. And even at just under 22,000 the noise level of the stadium was great. It will only get better as our program achieves and grows. We had a great time, and my 36 year old self helped rush the field. The players kept saying "Thank you for your support" to the fans. Great job boys. You deserve it. PS: I lost my Shaun White Oakley's last night somewhere in the celebratory madness. A small sacrifice I guess, to a great game. GO MEAN GREEN! JRock
