I work with a bunch of SMU alums daily, one of which is a club member. They are always respectful when we chat UNT and SMU sports. In fact, they are jealous of our Mean Green Village and facilities. Comments like the one above is just insecurity and ignorance on that knee jerk fan. GO MEAN GREEN! JRock

I briefly looked around Ponyfans for the rumor about Jones interviewing at Arizona State and saw some fans whining about the possibility of them playing FIU in St. Pete. Good grief. Jrock

Hey everyone. Over the weekend, my wife and I were looking two new vehicles. We had some challenges since we were transitioning out of our leases and were referred to Bill Utter Ford by an acquaintance. I called and explained our situation to salesperson Doyle Chaffin. He could not have been any nicer and understanding. He invited us down to the dealership where he had prepared a few vehicles for us to look at. In the end, we secured a great loan for us and drove away in a Ford Explorer. I was so impressed with their kindness and customer service throughout the entire process. Now...here's the cool part. After we signed out paperwork, I was sitting down talking college football with our salesperson, Doyle. I said I was a Mean Green graduate and he quickly said..."Oh...that's great. We support the Mean Green in a big way. We have a suite and have a tailgate area before the games at Apogee. We had coach McCarney here recently for an event." I just thought it was really cool to have a company in Denton show some much enthusiasm for our team. He mentioned our win over Troy as well. Good stuff. Now...more Denton companies need to step up like Bill Utter Ford. Go Mean Green JRock

I would love to see L Tech and UNT to develop into some sort of rivalry. Who knows what will happen in the alignment debacle, but it makes sense for UNT and LTech to move into ConfUSA. JRock

LSU fans are some of the best you will meet. I am a T-Shirt alum since my wife's family all went to LSU. I brought them to two Mean Green game this season (Houston and Indiana) and they had great things to say about our future. My wife was decked in Green and the life of our HUGE tailgate. UNT can learn from how LSU's alum association conducts business. Don't be so quick to say LSU fans are crude. GO MEAN GREEN & GEAUX TIGERS! JRock

What a nitwit wannabe elitist. I work with a lot of SMU alums..one of which is a very large donor. That guys gives the good people of SMU a bad name. The group I work with even agrees that UNT is one of the best choices for Conference USA and have been more than respectful of our growth and new digs in Denton. Our future is quite bright at UNT. I appreciate the olive branch BigPonyFan. Sincerely. I think it's wise for all DFW citizens to support their local teams. I wish the local media would realize that. But these day their bias is clearly exposed in almost every report they give. But that's an entirely different post. I wish SMU the best in it's future. I have to go to work every day with a bunch of SMU people. They appreciate the loyalty I show UNT. Times and respect for one another can indeed change. GO MEAN GREEN! JRock

Wow...that's awesome! I have about 10 in my group. Still trying to get more. We were afraid we were not going to be able to go due to a schedule conflict, but since the time was moved, we can now make it. Go Mean Green! JRock
