Wow. This took longer than I thought it would to show up here. I think we shouldn't rush to prejudge this. We don't know how this is going to shake out yet, he may very well be "investigated" and taken to military trial. As for making the deal, why not do it? The war in Afghanistan is winding down, we have been holding those captives for a very long time now, we have most likely got all the information out of them that we are going to get. We are not just going to hold those guys indefinitely, and we can't try them on U.S. soil. And I'm pretty sure several of our drones will be keeping a very close eye on these guys. I don't think this is a great tragedy that some people are making it out to be, but I don't think it's some great victory like other people are making it out to be. We shall see.

I'm hoping JK and crew were watching the champs league final yesterday. Atletico did a good job of making Christiano a non-factor on the field. Hoping we can do the same thing.

FIFA has shown themselves to be complete a-holes as of late. The preparation for the Brazilian cup has been a joke, it's been corrupt from top to bottom, and fifa has done virtually nothing. Going forward they really need to reexamine who they award the world cup to. South Africa (while it went off fairly well), and now Brazil have been well over budget, and have cost the populations of the host countries entirely to much. They need to start giving the Cup to host countries that have the infrastructure to pull it off with as little incident/work as possible. Unfortunately that means mainly having them in North America, Western European countries, China (they already did the dirty work in prep for the olympics), South Korea, and only a hand full of others. Oh well at least the next two after this will be in places that won't have any problem...Oh wait, Russia is about to try and take over half of Europe, and Qatar is using slave labor. Good job FIFA, keep letting Blatter run things.
