Not a good assessment. Newman Smith is always trash. Cameron Yoe is normally a solid program but you’re talking about a school with 500 kids total. You guys just hate this man and you honestly know absolutely zero about coaching the game of football. He had a bad run here. It happens. He isn’t a terrible coach. Lol I’m not saying the guy didn’t fail here. I’m saying there are plenty of people who can’t win at UNT. It doesn’t make them terrible. The guy knows football obviously, just not the right man for the job at UNT.

I was a student in 2007 when Dodge was hired. I still don’t think he is a terrible coach. We won the Heart of Dallas Bowl With his recruits. I think UNT was in a bad spot when he was here, we are in a much better position now.

I know y’all love to hate on Dodge. Out of boredom the other day I went and looked at the seasons. Many, many 7 point or less losses. Lots of bad luck for TD. He was a good recruiter for sure. He knows QBs and offense. Let your hatred of the guy go.

A good DL makes everyone look bette. Build from inside out. It’s not the skill guys who are the diff makers. Plenty of 5’10-6 foot kids that can play football. Much harder to find big athletic dudes who can ball.

Man what some awful QB play from 2014-2015. The key to winning 7+ games at this level is having a qb. That leads to recruiting. Its not going to happen overnight. Trending in the right direction.

@UNT90 I normally disagree with you but I’m on the same page regarding the bowl game. Would rather lose 50-30 to a FSU squad people care about. Yes Troy is better than FSU, but literally nobody that isn’t a die hard cares.
