  1. Exactly. An ass whipping. Trust me I had to hear Baylor crap when I coached down in Waco. It was terrible, especially girls bball talk.
  2. I think it's funny Baylor fan talks smack, just 2-3 years ago they were largely irrelevant.
  3. I think I would leave the decisions to the guys making a living calling plays. They don't just go off hunches. They know their personnel better than any of us and know what weaknesses to exploit. I'm happy with what we try to do. Can't make chicken salad out of chicken sh*t.
  4. HD TV and AC in your house. Hard to beat sometimes. Now UNT is very fan friendly so going to a game is great, but lets just say going to a Cowboy game is a beating. Rather watch at home.
  5. I need to figure out how to get into this, what a great job.
  6. All the big boys have it, it's a pretty big deal IMO. Especially when 2a and 3a high schools have them.
  7. 2000-2003 Little River-Academy Bumblebees. CB/WR. 5-5, 8-3, 3-7 records while on varsity. Have made coaching stops at Bruceville-Eddy HS, Robinson HS and currently coach DBs, head powerlifting and head track coach at Honey Grove HS.
  8. Apple TV my friend! Wireless!
  9. Touching story and a sad story. Yes I'm 28 and went k-12 at Academy with most of the same people. It is def not the norm now, but there is something special about these small towns. I love 1a and 2a football. Sports and schools mean so much to the community.
  10. Honey Grove is about 20 miles west of Paris TX ad 40 miles East of Sherman. Little River-Academt, where I grew up, is 5 miles east of Temple Tx. Love my small towns! Danbury beat us out of the area round of the playoffs in bball in 2001. We followed it up with a title in 2002.
  11. Where i went to HS-Academy HS district 13-2ad1 (pg 320) Picked 7th Where I currently coach- Honey Grove HS district 8-1aD1 (pg 347) Picked 1st: let's go warriors!
  12. Yes...price seems to to up every year picked us 5-7. Sounds about right.
  13. 1. They use a 7 year old helmet. 2. They said We get get play MTSU now. I love DCTF, but this was bad.
  14. I got to see them in person at the state title game. Then I had the pleasure of meeting them at our regional track meet in Abilene back in April. This happened right before they smoked us in all 3 relays! Ha
  15. Those boys from Munday are some studs ill tell ya that much. Phenomenal for for the 1a level. 3 state team track titles in a row!
  16. I'll take my chances and just head to BWW. Not upgrading to a sports package for a couple games. Especially since FS1 will be on regular direct.
  17. Thanks! What about CSS? And CBS College Sports?
  18. Well damn I guess I just need to know if I need to upgrade my direct Tv for the fall...anyone?
  19. You have to try the Brisket Queso @ Roosters as well. It's amazing.
  20. Here is the guy that plays for us. Just FYI he is a 10.9 100m guy, 43ft triple jumper as well. Bball highlights also included. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/495765/jeremy-patt
  21. I remember a few weeks ago I was unhappy bc our QB/DB had been shown no love from the UNT staff. Well I talked to him last week and he will be going to a UNT camp, I was all smiles once I heard that. SMU has already offered, but I'm hoping he sees the light!
  22. Just in general coaches want taller guys, but I'm with you that it doesn't matter that much. Plenty of times guys with all the measurables are outplayed by a smaller guy.
  23. Good idea, and I might just go ahead and send him some video anyway. We are a very small school, so we arent going to be on the radar much. But this kid can play and is a heck of an athlete. His brother plays LB at Rice and this kid still has room to grow as well. Would look great in the slot or DB for UNT.
