  1. scrolling across the bottom on ESPN states that air force and BSU are unlikely to join. This deal is looking less and less promising.
  2. maybe b/c they are a million miles away, and no promise the WAC will take their other teams.
  3. I think many on this board need to realize that no school has accepted the invite yet, and there is no guarantee that any team will. Also, if all the schools do accept, like stated early, there is no guarantee we will get an invite. People need to stop counting their chickens before they hatch.
  4. There is not guarantee we get into conference usa. Apparently CUSA and MWC are merging and it does not say they are adding any teams( doesn't mean they are not going). But there is still no guarantee we will be invited. "The two conferences affected by the Big East's expansion plans -- the Mountain West for Boise State and Air Force and Conference USA for UCF, SMU and Houston -- announced Friday they would form a 22-team merged league in football only, with two divisions and a conference championship game."
  5. what happens when fiu leaves for cusa.... the sunbelt just continues to get weaker
  6. just heard that on espn radio but no mention of uh or smu.
  7. If we do get over 15000 I doubt it will be over that number by very much (Assuming rangers are playing). I believe in previous years at homecoming are #'s were floating around there. I don't think we will see 25000 again this season, but i hope I'm wrong.
  8. If Houston leaves I see cusa reloading with La. Tech. Surely we would be in the mix but once again i see SMU keeping us out. I hate to say it but SMU probably needs to leave if we want into Cusa.
  9. Yes!!!! Texans + beer+ football = great time/ more fans. Especially since you cannot leave the stadium at half time.
  10. we are screwed. If we get 15,000 I'll be happy.... oh well as long as the MG win.
  11. is it even probably that they get leach?
  12. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7093310/florida-atlantic-owls-list-potential-coaches-includes-leach All the coaches they are considering are pretty sketchy
  13. you might be able to make the connection but the two statements. I see it as the stadium being part of the beauty of the school. When the writer said campus beauty I believe he meant..... the beauty of the campus, which incorporates not only the stadium(major factor) but the whole campus. lets just pray that UH has enough "beauty" to get into BE so we can move up in the world.
  14. And one last thing our campus may be better looking if those damn hippies that don't wear shoes stop walking across the grass, in the flower beds and worst of all through the monkey grass planted around the new business building. Actually that goes for 75% of unt's student body, you lazy %^&*'s, that don't use the sidewalk. Stop complaining about higher tuition when the university has to spend money on grass because your lazy @$$ won't use the sidewalk. Disclaimer: not pointed at any one in particular, it's been on my chest for a while.
  15. Don't get me wrong I love UNT and the campus is fine, but having beauty should not be one way to describe it. I agree with you I don't believe campus beauty has much play. I'm sure it doesn't hurt though.
  16. well we aren't very popular and our campus isn't exactly those most beautiful either.
  17. Winston Burnette Sheneneh
  18. I HATE the BCS. How come schools like UNT haven't sued them?
  19. according to ESPN Missouri will stay for at least one more year. This is good and gives us a chance to get into cusa. But I still read of rumors that cusa and mwc could still join. Its going to be interesting to see how all this plays out.
  20. Looks like Missouri is stay for now. According to ESPN. I believe this is good for us. Now the BE can stabilize and pick up some C-usa schools, which gives us a chance to move up. http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/id/7087967/big-12-set-10-teams-2012-including-missouri-tigers
  21. "In three home games, UL is averaging 28,285 per game. The Cajuns are on pace to establish the school record for average home attendance and shatter the current standard of 25,224 set in 1977." I'm impressed. Hopefully we can get there soon.
  22. I think we need to bring them back down to earth a little bit
  23. If they lose two then don't you think they will need to add at least two more members....maybe UNT/La.Tech?
  24. Oh wow. I didn't see that. The AP has houston at 25th which seems more accurate. CBS Sports needs to rethink their rankings....But I do agree with Bama at #1. The only thing I agree with on that list.
  25. This is funny. LaLa better than florida, Auburn, Texas A&M. this goes to show you how messed up college FB rankings are.
