Who is southern Denton? Is it a new college passing us by? -
I pretty excited about Justin Patton. I think he will take us over the top and help out a lot this year.

The Chick-Fil-A controversy
mgfan replied to GreenBat's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
she is stupid.... just because a person does not support gay marriage does not make them homophobic. why is it okay to support gay marriage but your OPINION is wrong if you do not support gay marriage? and i'm doubling down my money to off set her and she is right but about proverbs but it does not say that you have to agree with their enemies stance. I don't believe they would deny gay people " their enemy" food and drink .... just saying just saying. So quote proverbs 25:21 all you want, they are not going against it.- 306 replies

In my house I am making a "UNT room" and I want to paint one wall green, but i have a problem. What is the official green of UNT? On the traditions page it just says the colors are green and white? I not sure if there is an official green but any help would be great.

I haven't read one, but for some reason I get the feeling he is a mega douche.

UNT's Tony Mitchell picked BR Sun Belt Preseason POY
mgfan replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Basketball
Should have been POY last season. How do you lead your conference in that many categories and not get the award? -
Further CUSA Expansion On Hold 12-15 Months ?
mgfan replied to MeanGreen61's topic in Mean Green Football
Maybe they are holding those spots in hope of Houston and smu returning. And I couldn't agree with you more harry -
TCU for a while now and maybe not so much Baylor but you get my point.

If we are going to have body bag games can we at least try to have them closer. I believe we should make more of an effort to play teams like TCU, Baylor, A&M, OU, and OSU (I know we play Texas) instead of Florida, Tennessee, Georgia. By doing this we would cut down on cost of travel, increase our fan attendance, and most importantly I can attend these closer games.

New Map for College Football could include Everybody
mgfan replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
For the last time.... Conference champs and at large bids for a 16 team playoff. Current bowls will be the sites of these games. There problem solved. -
I am not getting my "panties" in a bunch. I am just speculating about the future. I believe you do have to care about what every school does at the FBS level because sooner or later it will affect us. You can't just sit idly by while the college football world shifts around you. That is how you become NMSU. Plus it is the offseason and there is very little to talk about.

http://dev.chuckoliver.net/2012/05/fsu-to-the-big-12-it-is-inevitable/ Conference realingment is not close to being done. If FSU leaves the ACC for the BIg 12, as the article suggest, then we will probably see the trickle down effect of conference realignment. THe ACC would raid the BE and then the BE would raid CUSA. I could see the BE taking ECU and or Marshall(?). This in turn would casue CUSA to raid the SB and making our future conference weaker. What do y'all think, are we safe or in a few years will we be in the "New SB"?

Lance Dunbar gets thrown down May, 5, 2012 May 5 1:11 PM CT By Calvin Watkins | ESPNDallas.com Recommend12 Tweet13 Comments9 Email Print IRVING, Texas -- North Texas running back Lance Dunbar got a welcome to the NFL moment from another rookie in the morning practice at Cowboys rookie minicamp Saturday. Dunbar was trying to bounce to the outside on a run until outside linebacker Kyle Wilber snatched him and threw him to the ground. If anything, Wilber has shown he's quick off the ball and powerful. Now, it's against other rookies and second-year players, but still it's impressive to see. As for Dunbar, he's hitting the holes pretty quickly and learning the NFL way of life. Dunbar is one of several players with ties to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. There are two players from Dunbar's college, Royce Hill and Jamize Olawale, who are getting a tryout with the Cowboys. Dunbar has to perform well on special teams if he's going to make the 53-man roster. "I have to do extra stuff to make this team," Dunbar said. "I'm not going to back down from anything."

IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) - While most of the attention is on rookie draft picks each year, sometimes it’s the undrafted free agents that really make a rookie class. Among the current Cowboys starters who went undrafted are quarterback Tony Romo (2003), wide receiver Miles Austin (2006), and center Phil Costa (2010). So, who are the rookies we need to keep an eye on at this week’s Cowboys Rookie Mini-Camp? Danny Coale, Matt Johnson, Lance Dunbar, Tim Benford, and Donavon Kemp are my picks to click this weekend: Running Backs Lance Dunbar – North Texas – (5-8, 205) – Haltom HS grad is the all-time leading rusher in North Texas football history and after flashing 4.47 speed at his Pro Day workout, Cowboys scouts became intrigued…barring an injury to DeMarco Murray, Felix Jones, or Phillip Tanner, he’s probably destined for a practice squad spot at best, but he has a legitimate chance with his hometown team. Darrell Scott – South Florida – (6-0, 231) – was a much ballyhooed recruit in 2007 who chose Colorado over Texas, then transferred to USF…turned pro after rushing for 814 yards on 153 carries (5.3) and 5 TDs in 2011…ran a 4.59 forty at his Pro Day.

How about stop screwing over the little guy and have a 16 team playoff. Each conference champion will be in the playoffs with the rest having to recieve at large bids. Each game can be sponsored like a bowl game. This will generate plenty of money from tv coverage, ticket sells, souvenirs, sponors, etc etc. The FCS has a big playoff so does DIV II and DIV III. 1 TIMOTHY 6:10
