Best College Football Stadium.... Besides Apogee

I lack a lot. I have SMU, UT, Houston (Old), Apogee (of course). Next year I plan on Rice, and UTSA. -
Best College Football Stadium.... Besides Apogee
mgfan replied to mgfan's topic in Mean Green Football
Every stadium has high's and low's. But if Apogee is your favorite and you don't like any other stadium, then right on. Apogee is nice. I though it was pretty awesome that you can tailgate on your boat at Mclane Stadium. How many D1 stadiums can you do that? I would love to go to that stadium. Right now working on all college stadiums in Texas 1st. -
Best College Football Stadium.... Besides Apogee
mgfan replied to mgfan's topic in Mean Green Football
That is a shame, because there are a lot on nice stadiums in this great country. -
Since we have so time on our hands before the season starts I thought I would see what football stadiums y'all like. I really like 1. Mclane Stadium (Baylor) 2. Amon G. Carter 3. Utep- never been, but looks awesome with the mountains. Here is a fun website that shows most of the college football stadiums.. Take a glance Collegefootballgridirons.com

Power 5; Big ten, Big 12, the ACC, the Pac-12, and the SEC. Group of 5 American, Conference USA, Mid-American, Mountain West, and Sun Belt
-
"Those with Power 5 aspirations have made hires with that in mind. Despite going 8-5 and beating Pitt in a bowl game last season, Houston fired Tony Levine and brought in Ohio State offensive coordinator Tom Herman, who arrived with a reputation as a rising star in coaching. Already the Cougars have been a force on the recruiting trail, landing commitments from two of the top 10 prospects in the state of Texas." He would have gotten an extension here at Ol' UNT. It cannot be understated that RV and BOR is content with being mediocre.

What was our attendance during the 2013 season when we went to the bowl game?
-
That #1 home field advantage article was more about sucking on the road. Great video though. Excited about seeing the new uni's.
-
Just interested what away games everyone is going to make. SMU* ,Rice, LA Tech are the games I can make. * Home game if you ask RV.
-
so we win on the road and not when we play away..... thanks, I know!
-
IF we want to make move up in the world the BOR will have to make a commitment to football and winning, but that doesn't seem like that will happen.
-
I am ttired of the scheduling. Mediocre is accepted by the BOR. We put poor team after poor team on the field in basketball and football, and very little is done. It makes me wonder why I buy season tickets. I would love to see more P5's (or just known name schools) at Apogee, but that doesn't seem it will happen. At any point will the BOR make a true commitment to athletics?

North Texas State? Come on.

Our scheduling sucks. Plain and simple.

Benford Taking Mean Green Basketball To New Levels
mgfan replied to greenit's topic in Mean Green Basketball
No is one playing down the schedule. I am saying I don't care who we play I wanna WIN, and we are not. I apologize, I didn't realize Prarie view was such a power house btw. As far as people paying attention to the the program before Benford, have you looked at the attendance numbers? Because according to those MORE PEOPLE were paying attention. I love unt, but I am a realist. Reality says we aren't very good and Benford isn't good either. Wake up son. I am not saying stop supporting them, I am saying our record under Benford is unacceptable on all levels and our sos isn't that tough. -
Benford Taking Mean Green Basketball To New Levels
mgfan replied to greenit's topic in Mean Green Basketball
I would say it is a pretty easy schedule . We have an sos of 221 out of 321. Benford is not a good coach. You have to be the biggest troll of all time or the dumbest poster. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/rpi/_/page/4/sort/sos This year we beat 1 team with an RPI of 150 or better and that is Creighton. Here is some info on your "hard" schedule Wins (RPI 1-50) RPI DATE OPPONENT SCORE No current wins in this range. Losses (RPI 1-50) RPI DATE OPPONENT SCORE 24 Nov. 28 @ Arkansas 73-89 47 Dec. 3 @ Oklahoma St 61-87 Wins (RPI 51-100) RPI DATE OPPONENT SCORE 100 Dec. 21 Creighton 62-58 Losses (RPI 51-100) RPI DATE OPPONENT SCORE 63 Dec. 14 @ Stephen F. Austin 48-59 Wins (RPI 101-150) RPI DATE OPPONENT SCORE No current wins in this range. Glad tcu didn't have the attitude we have. Neither does boise, niu, or byu. This fan base has zero expectations and the ones that do get bashed on for not being "good fans".

Poll: Which Team Should Replace UAB?
mgfan replied to Mean Green 93-98's topic in Mean Green Football
When looking at teams, I hope that people aren't actually considering the "tailgate scene". Prestige and relevance should be at the top. NO FCS TEAMS OR SUNBELT TEAMS. -
Army makes the most sense to add. I believe In 2016 they play unt, utep and rice.

I don't get this boards obsession with ULl. No one has heard of them. I realize must haven't heard of unt, but if we have options let's go after a bigger fish 1st. Northern ill, Army, Or Ohio would be much better. -
Big 12 will probably go to 12 teams and have a playoff if left out of the top 4.
-
I can see where 90 is coming from. I will always love the mean green. I ask myself why spend the money for 5 home games when I can watch most on tv ? I don't see us being very good next year. Who will be our QB? Our offense has been bad for awhile, and let's be honest , we struggle being a G5 school. Look at our recent history, probability says we will be bad.

It is all sad.
