  1. Time of possession is the most telling.
  2. That may be too little too late. Unt is losing the few fans it has and not just casual joe, but the die hards.
  3. IF we go up big (HOPEFULLY) or down big today, what are the chances Mac puts in another QB to get some reps?
  4. I know i got my tickets last second and as well as my donation. My name is not in the program. I hope their are a lot like me who just didn't get their donations in time for print.
  5. Too many beers. Turn to another game.
  6. He had an OK game. I am afraid his progress is too little too late.
  7. I believe most on here have a valid point and it is a combination of these points. Something needs to change fast. I had to convince my wife to buy season tickets this year and another losing season would be hard to justify renewing again. The luster of the 2013 season has worn off.
  8. I have come to grips with our Qb situation and have decided to enjoy being lucky enough to be going back to my alma mater and cheer on OUR mean green. Come out support and have some fun. I'm not saying settle for the status quo, but take some time to soak up the atmosphere... and some beer. See ya there.
  9. I coach with a former unt QB and he pretty much stated the same thing. Chico wants to open up the play book but McCarney won't let him.
  10. Here we go again. So basically we do better then expected at home and we suck on the road. Who cares about winning on the road anyway?
  11. Interesting article. Doesn't bode well for UNT Ranking College QB's I know the competition they are facing is sometimes inferior. but I cannot figure out why we have so much trouble finding quarterbacks. 33. Fredi Knighten, Arkansas State Dynamic dual-threat quarterback led the Sun Belt by averaging 312 total yards per game last season. 34. Kevin Ellison, Georgia Southern Ellison is sidelined for the first two games due to suspension this year. Led all Sun Belt quarterbacks with 1,082 rushing yards last season and averaged 6.3 yards per carry.
  12. Customize your TollTag. NTTA offers Dallas Cowboys TollTags as well as collegiate TollTags from Texas Christian University (TCU) and Southern Methodist University (SMU). I would love to have one of these, but of course not available to ol' UNT alumni.
  13. RV is complacent. He has no pressure to perform better. I would rate his hires below average. Outside of JJ (did he hire JJ?) the other hires have been bad in the major sports (Verdict is out on Mac). I have seen post of ppl defending his scheduling, but is anyone pleased? Last time I checked you try and please your clients, and the fans are his clients. It damn sure doesn't seem like any one is exuberant about this. This scheduling is getting bad and appears to be lazy work. Lastly, this is as much a BOR problem as it is RV.
  14. Remember when we use to win at basketball? ..... seems so long ago.
  15. There would be a lot of other fans, but I don't believe we would be out numbered. Again, we average around 20,000 without a P5 school which is more then half. This is all really a moot point anyway until RV actually tries it. They benefit by filling thier schedules, but you make a good point. I believe those reasons are why we don't play tcu. Just like we don't have a metroplex tourney/ round robin in bball with TCU, UTA and SMU.
  16. help us by...tickets sales, food sales, beer, parking and if it is a 2 for 1 you might still make money. Remember the big 10 is no longer playing fcs. Big 12 may be following, especially since they don't have a championship game. This in turn can " put the ball in our court" when it comes to negotiating. etc etc. Also, Is it really different then losing to them on the road and not having them at home. Or better yet, better then losing to utsa at home? We haven't yet to sell out Apogee. A P5 regional school might help us do that. If we are going to play a "body bag game" @ least get 1 at home and bring people in to Apogee.
  17. In that case, you are correct and I will join the bet. I will also eat a bowl of cinnamon if RV brings in 1 of those programs to Apogee. No way it happens under RV. I don't believe RV is capable of bringing in those teams and is under no pressure to make a better schedule. I also don't think it would be a home game for the other team. We already average around 20,000 without big name programs showing at Apogee. This brings me back to original post that is possible to bring in P5 schools to Apogee, and it would benefit us more then a series with TX ST.
  18. OU went to tulsa in 2014, Utep in 2012, Cincinnati in 2010. A&M @ SMU in 2014 and 2012, LA Tech 2012 and New Mexico in 2008. So it is possible.
  19. I don't see much of a benefit of playing them. I would much rather focus on playing a P5 school that we can beat or is regional. If we lose to a P5 school it is not big deal ( don't lose recruits), we beat them then we have something to tout about to the recruits. I am not sure we would smack them (txst) around anyway. We haven't beaten UTSA. How about we focus on a 1 for1 or a 2 for 1 with OSU, OU, A&M, UT, TCU,Baylor?Drivable games that would be bring large crowds and show recuits you can play the "big boys" at home. If you were a recruit would you rather play Txst at home or a P5? For me it is no question. I would much rather play a P5 at Apogee. A metroplex rivarly be great against smu, and tcu. I doubt tcu would be interested for the reason I stated earlier.
  20. There are too many other options thay would also bring fans. Most regional P5 schools would bring more fans. We compete with texas state for recruits. Losing could mean the loss of a few good players.
  21. I don't believe there is any reason to play them. We already play utsa, rice and smu. No need to play another texas team. Not much of a benefit to us.
  22. The green uni's are pretty good. White,... not so much
  23. These.... 10 times better then our current jerseys.
  24. So you are telling me If we bring in a school that is local and from a P5 conference that our attendance will go up? SOMEONE TELL RV.
  25. Move to Mid America? question no info.
