I wasn't active on the board (just read), but I think there is a point to looking forward to basketball season. My wife now, ,gf back then, would say at least we have basketball, and now that is gone too. The collective displeasure is at an all time high from my point of view. You may need the opinion of a fan that has been around longer then me.

I will never be able to wrap my mind around the status qou of North Texas. The AD doesn't not seem to give a . It get is old. I don't understand why we have these discussions. We all know we have a bad AD who can't do his job, but nothing has happened in the years I have been following UNT. At this point the BOR or the Prez have done ittle to nothing to change the attitude of the the athletic department and student body. We again have another BOR member who has never been invested in UNT until now. It is all a joke. Harry states it quiet in the forum and we all know why. It is because we are bad. I wonder how many alumni and students has the AD ran off from being life long fans from his lack of caring and doing his job. There are no excuses for us to be in the situation but the BOR and AD are happy with their jobs as is, so why would they change how they run show? I am sick of the "next year" mantra. Just wanted to vent.... that is all.

Meacham, 49, comes to TCU from Houston, where he was the Cougars' play-caller this season, his only year there. With Meacham as coordinator, Houston ranked 35th nationally in scoring, averaging almost 34 points per game.Before Houston, Meacham was an offensive assistant for eight seasons at Oklahoma State, his alma mater. He's a native of nearby Arlington. According to the Star-Telegram, Meacham will earn $350,000.

I would feel more comfortable if he was more proven outside of Baylor. I think Applewhite has proven more at Houston. Harder place to recruit than Baylor IMO.

Ideally the AAC would be best for us right now, but that won't happen with smu so the MWC would be the best option. Our AD needs to be getting us ready for the next alignment because it will be coming sooner or later.
