I think they moved some security around after the student stormed the field in the 1st quarter. Dear students: If you're going to storm the field in the middle of the game, do it naked, or don't do it at all!

17k looked about right, far from the 25k some on here guaranteed. It's easy to think it's more just by looking at the student section though. I went over to the student section at the start of the 2nd half and looked at the view from there. The alumni section looked pretty vacant from that standpoint. There were vast sections of empty seats-at least 3 whole empty sections on the alumni side where it was easy to tell nobody was sitting there at any point of the game. I think we can conclude that we don't need to cheapen the value of the tickets anymore. The tickets were already cheap enough before the 2 for 10 promotion. There is one promotion that trumps all: WINNING! All things considered, 17k was great for a late Tuesday night and the students did their part to try and make up for the alumni side.

Since you brought the Greek subject up, there was a sorority last night, don't remember which one, who wore freaking MAROON shirts. If you're coming to the football game, get some green shirts. Makes them look like they were forced to be there. I wasn't going to bring it up until this thread got started. Props to the Zeta girls for working their pink theme while still wearing green.

Paranoid much? Always calling out the frat people? I haven't seen any of that on here this season. Everything I've read on here talks about the huge student crowds and lackluster alumni attendance.

Meh, they could use that video for every sport at the school. There was nothing football related in there. Our intro video is better.

I've had the misfortune of spending too much time in Oklahoma in recent years and the OU fan base and overall culture is far worse. It's also the capital of t-shirt alumni, just look the number of OU fans in the state compared to the number of college grads.

Yes, this is huge for us, but does anybody remember who played in the last ESPN2 Tuesday night game, let alone won? There is a reason why the Belt has to play these games on Tuesday to get on ESPN2, nobody outside of the Sunbelt world really cares, unfortunately.

Keeping everything at best available, I pulled up 8 tix in 203 row 4. And if I remember correctly, it doesn't let you select any seats that require a donation. I'll believe it when I see it, but if we're going by ticketmaster, then I wish it was better at this point.

Maybe it's because I used the mobile version of ticketmaster?

I was just able to pull up 2 tickets in section 203 row 3 on the alumni side.

Can we get a separate band forum? Some people seem more concerned with the happenings off the football field.

Where do we make up that revenue? I don't want to play those games either, but the AD needs to pay the bills.

This 25k attendance number is nuts. We'll be lucky to have 15k butts in seats. Nobody knows about the promo except for us. There should be billboards and TV spots running. Tuesday night at 8 pm for a 2-4 team that just got reamed by Houston vs ULaLa, yup that sure screams 25k to me. People will stay home and watch it on TV. Seriously, what is the selling point for the casual fan to come to this game?
