In other posts, Fly has been quick to say that Mac's seat is on fire. When asked about RV's seat...crickets. He has told us that he is supporting RV and his "grand vision" that only the 17 are privy to. The little guy be damned. This is why I believe that RV is still here because the 17 have continued to allow it. To me it is clear that they have entirely too much loyalty with RV and that it prevents us from being where we should be in terms of W-L record.

Not even close to getting the most out of our resources. When half of the teams in the country go to bowl games, not going should be the exception, not the norm like it is now. We must also expect to be competitive in basketball every year. Anything less is unacceptable.

The fact of the matter is that we need the paycheck game. There's nothing we can do about that. The problem is the Army series. We can control that. If RV didn't lock us in with Army until 2021, we'd have the freedom to schedule 1-1s. Until at least 2022 we won't see a OOC FBS team other than SMU and Army, I don't think any other school in the country has a schedule like this. The Army series is dumb, it should have only been a 1-1. There's nothing to pay for if it's a 1-1 and if our AD has a clue.

Cliffs notes version- We're the only school in the conference that does not have a home game scheduled versus a P5 opponent. Apologists gonna apologize I'm a fan of the SMU series, but the series with Army is bad, bad, bad. Why would we lock ourselves up with them for so long? There are plenty of home and homes out there to be had with lower end P5 schools. The fan base is going to get bored with the Army series.

We're giving Iowa a discount. We've been getting more for our games vs Texas and Alabama, etc. We're selling ourselves short. If we're going to do a money game, do it big, we should be getting at least 900k per game, especially when we have to turn around and give a big chunk to whatever pathetic FCS team we play.

Lip service until action is taken. It's long overdue for action.

I'm looking forward to the day when we get some unique uniforms that every high school in the country can't order from the Nike catalog.
