  1. Actually false statement! I've followed the men and women's soccer programs for years and the women's team have beaten several Big 12, SEC and PAC 12 teams over the years. Go to their website and you will see wins against OU, TCU, Baylor, Texas, Texas Tech, Oregon State, Arkansas, Kansas, etc.. Personally I would just like to see all of the other sports win their first CUSA title! I believe soccer already has four.
  2. http://www.ncaa.com/rankings/volleyball-women/d1 Here is a link to the top 25 rankings, please show me where Oregon State is #22. Not even receiving votes and if you go to the Pac 12 conference they're picked to finish at the bottom of the preseason coaches poll.
  3. So I guess the tournament really doesn't start until Wednesday!
  4. Rings speak volumes! The long wait is over. The Mean Green soccer team received their conference championship rings last night. The seniors finished their careers with four titles and three rings.
  5. C-USA Championships Won - UNT Sports W. Soccer - 4 M. Golf - 1 M. Cross Country - 1 W. Cross Country - 0 Football - 0 M. Basketball - 0 W. Basketball - 0 W. Tennis - 0 Softball - 0 W. Volleyball - 0 W. Swimming & Diving - 0 M. Track & Field - 0 W. Track & Field - 0
  6. And the Arkansas transfer scores the game winner this past weekend in Waco to beat the Baylor Bears 2-1...great pick-up! BU finished 3rd in the Big12 last fall - pretty solid win for the Mean Green!
  7. http://www.meangreensports.com/sports/w-soccer/ntex-w-soccer-body.html Champs are loading up!
  8. Anyone going today, I might go check it out after the spring football game. http://www.meangreensports.com/sports/w-soccer/spec-rel/041816aaa.html
  9. http://www.meangreensports.com/sports/w-soccer/ntex-w-soccer-body.html Some nice stories on the NT soccer website - Picture of the girls wearing their 2015 championship rings and the new recruiting class soccer is bringing in for next fall. Looks like a great class - Soccer will be going for their fourth CUSA title next fall...pretty impressive!
  10. Sorry, found it. We lost Monday to Iona 62-51, Iona improves to 4-6 for the year. The win tonight against an 1-8 LaSalle team improves our record to 4-5. We have Incarnate Word and Oklahoma Panhandle St up next so we should be 6-5 before CUSA begins.
  11. What was the result for the first game of this road trip?
  12. http://www.meangreensports.com/smackdown/ Program going for their tenth title this fall, pretty amazing! Best of luck ladies, bring home another championship!

  13. Tough third day for the boys finishing 9th place overall. Congratulations to CUSA Charlotte & UAB, moving on to Nationals.
  14. Tough loss for the ladies in the first round losing to FAU 5-0. On the championship title race for the year we're still in second place at the moment winning titles in M.Golf, M.Cross Country and on the women's side Soccer. Need Track & Field to finish strong to add to our 3 titles.
  15. Congrats to the ladies on making the tournament, with a win tomorrow we would finish 11-12 in conference and 19-30 overall. Looks like we will play the #1 seed and regular season champs WKU. (1 v 8 seed)
  16. I was talking about present UNT coaches and the titles they have won. On history of the sport, yes mens golf has been around the longest where I believe W soccer and tennis were started in the late 90's.
  17. Congratulations to mens golf on winning their first CUSA championship, great turnaround from finishing tenth last year at the conference tournament. Now we have three sports that have one CUSA titles: Men Cross Country, Mens Golf and Women's Soccer. On the most consistent successful sport I would still go with women's soccer with Hedlind/soccer having nine titles, Stracke/golf and Lama/tennis with three titles.
  18. Ladies beat cross town neighbor TWU 6-0 tonight, Alumni game this Saturday at 5pm! Looks like this is the last spring game for the girls.
  19. Just noticed on the Mean Green soccer/ Facebook page the Alumni game is set for this Saturday. Saturday April 18th UNT v Alumni at 5pm. Should be a great soccer match and fun to see former star players!
  20. How is MTSU not seeded #2. My top four seeds would have been 1. Rice, 2. MTSU 3. ODU 4. Marshall. In my opinion considering the year we had coach Lama should be really happy with the draw. We're on the opposite side of the draw from Rice, will smoke La Tech in the first round and possibly play a Marshall team in the semi's that in my opinion should have been the fourth seed to begin with when the seeds came out. The one tricky match is ODU in the second round but if we get by them we will see Rice in the final...and we stayed away from MTSU - great draw!
  21. Great day for our womens sports this afternoon! Softball beats UTSA in the rubber match 5-2, tennis gets a must needed win against South Alabama 4-2 and the womens soccer team beats Baylor 3-1. Had an opportunity to see a little bit of all three sports and I'm telling you that was one of the most physical soccer matches I have seen in years...you can feel the dislike between the two programs. But of course our ladies prevailed as always and look in championship form heading into the fall!
  22. Tough loss for the ladies and with a 7-13 record and other bad losses, we're now looking between a 6 to 8th seed next week at the conference tournament!
  23. Good points. I'm thinking on the seeds it will be: Rice being a heavy #1 seed followed by Marshall, MTSU, UTSA and then us getting the 5th seed.
  24. Anyone know how our girls fared today?
  25. Tough day for the ladies yesterday losing both games to UAB 6-1 & 5-4. Softball is now 7-11 for the season, 0-2 in conference. Hopefully we can get the W this afternoon and not get swept.
