  1. Also I believe that Kim is better than the two kickers on the roster.
  2. He was 0-2 on FGs. It could be that Chris Cayton, last year's backup to Mooney (who I believe didn't make an appearance due to Mooney flirting with records) is good on extra points and short field goals but does not have a strong enough leg for kickoffs or long field goals...or they plan on trying Rauschenburg on all three. If he can handle it...they may release Cayton. Purely speculation on my part.
  3. This is my fault. This is the situation...Anderson has us listed first; ahead of the alphabetical schools. He is visiting this weekend; implying that he will commit. I assumed that he had committed due to listing us first and taking a visit this weekend. My apologies.
  4. He sure doesn't seem to be a PWO to me. 17TFL
  5. This is my guess on the final three: Brian Nelson 6-0 181 DB Pearland Jayven Anderson 6-0 205 S Houston North Shore Robert Harding 6-3 223 TE/WR Killeen Ellison My bad...I believe that Anderson has already signed and I forgot the kid from Gladewater is coming this weekend so he would be my third.
  6. I don't know for sure but I'd bet that one of the commits is Jayven Anderson who will likely be our highest rated recruit. His official visit is this weekend.
  7. I believe that he announced that he wasn't coming back. I think that he's just hanging them up; not going anywhere else.
  8. Watch your thoughts. I believe that Caimon can compete with any of our cornerbacks. His offer list is there with the best of them.
  9. I would've preferred to have called it Greenbackers Collective.
  10. Every seat was taken and an overflow had to sit in the aisles. The fire marshall wanted to move them but finally gave up. I'm sure it looked good from the court but it wasn't very comfortable due to the narrowness of the seats. I didn't even try to go to the concession stand at half-time. It was bedlam but it was fun...a great experience looking back.
  11. It makes perfect sense. We've been middle of the pack for years now.
  12. Whoa! Something is amiss! It could be the fact that many of our acquisitions did not go through the portal but we have a total of TEN who were at one time three-star players. Landon Sides .8306 Paula Venipulu .8627 Larry Moore .8477 Dietrich Moore .8400 No composite. 247 only. Devin Strange 5.5 Rivals only. No 247 or composite Trey Cleveland .8364 Dylan Brown-Turner .8511 Phil Hill .8305 Damon Youngblood .8363 Chandler Rogers In an article that I posted at the time he finished his senior season, he was referred to as a 3-star player by 247. Also, in the post before this one he was listed as having a rating of .8500. In addition, Marcus Moore had no rating because he came through a junior college and the rating services no longer give them a score. Had he taken another route to us he would have surely been another 3-star.
  13. What would you call the collective?
  14. Caponi yes; Jennings coaches safeties; not corners.
  15. 1.21.23 9 days until NSD
  16. Other postings indicate 5. Unless I missed something, I can only find one that has done the committment graphic to indicate that he's committed.
  17. I was also surprised. His passing yards are rather run-of-the-mill in that he only had five more TDs than he had interceptions. The key had to be that he had only two less rushing touchdowns than he had passing. Rice seems to have been searching for a dual quarterback as well and they offered before we did. Surely both of us can't be that wrong. This changes my thoughts on our pecking order. I expect that the backups are liable to be Jace Ruder and Stone Earle. Grant Gunnell and J D Head are pocket passers for the most part.
  18. I'm really hopeful on this recruit. Notice that they list us first before the alphabetical listing of the other offers. He is scheduled to visit us next weekend, the last official visit day before NSD. Really like his video.
  19. Someone needs to notify 247 because they show that he is still committed to us. I guess we'll just have to wait until the official roster comes out to see whether he's in or out.
  20. Hey, Jim! If you get some kind of royalties I'll buy more things with the Battle Flag on them.
  21. We do have a young kicker on the roster. His name is Chris Clayton from Fort Myers FL. He was signed by last year's Special Teams Coordinator Chris Petrilli. I believe that he graduated from some kicking school last year and was recommended by the owner of the kicking school.
  22. The Blue Lot should be a paid lot. The Red Lot is the cash lot. If the Blue Lot is made a cash lot then the attendants should know how many spaces are available after subtracting the season/paid spaces and sell only that amount on game day (in a separate line).
  23. I guess that the reason that you didn't coin it is back then was that the same player played both offense and defense. It wasn't until 1949 that the two platoon system came into effect.
  24. I don't know for sure but it seems that each has a territory that includes all positions. For example, Patrick Cobbs is recruiting northeast Texas. He made a stop in Daingerfield and near Texarkana on his latest trip. I wouldn't be surprised if his territory also included eastern Oklahoma. It seems more cost effective to me to have territories. In addition, you build a comradery with the high school coach.
