What the heck! Meet 2 new Mean Green fans from Weatherford! Catrina “Cat” & Amie! (Yes, definitely got to work on their Eagle claw).

I took a pic early this morning of 2 Weatherford RaceTrac female employees wearing Mean Green shirts I gave them weeks ago & on my Facebook photo caption put: “This is a Mean Green Friday!” Boyhowdy! ”Littrell” did we know just how good a Mean Green Friday this would turn out to be! 🤠 GMG!

I’m still hoping to hear or read a well prepared damage control statement that makes us all feel good & merely accept what took place since October. Truth is always a good place to start, but don’t know if we even get to that part of the entire conversation. In his 3’rd year an SWC school tried to hire Fry away from our favorite school, but he came back to Denton & said “I’ve got a better job at North Texas.” (He stayed 3 more years). Most all some of us ever thought we’d get from Seth Littrell is 6 years in Denton. Hell, if he starts getting conference championships & winning bowl games with Top 25 ranked Mean Green football teams he can stay forever. We’d all love that! As I said to a couple of you via phone conversation, I love everything SL has done at UNT up until the last 2 months. Still don’t know what precipitated the best statistical QB in North Texas history to casually talk about transferring out (& we can only guess) but one of the great things about we Americans is how we can be a most forgiving people no matter what & then move on. Maybe that’s what we all should do explanation or no explanation? GMG!

We will learn much after we see who comes & who goes in the next couple weeks during the early signing date. Many of these recruits will want to follow through with their UNT commitment because they liked the whole package they saw upon their original visit to our burgeoning campus. We do have great athletic facilities (see below link) and a huge Indoor Practice Facility presently under construction that will be larger than most all other NCAA Division One IPF's in Texas. Doesn't hurt that some of the best looking co-eds in the Lone Star State attend North Texas and then Texas Womens University 2 miles east of the UNT campus that has about 15,000 more co-eds. Many great natural resources in Denton; of course, most of us who've lived there already know that. GMG! Coaching legends don't always get their way upon retirement. Some may remember when Darrell Royal retired that he wanted UT assistant coach Mike Campbell to take the reins. No dice. UT Regent Frank Erwin wanted no part of Campbell so enter UT's new head football coach Freddie Akers. GMG!

Are you over this? I am. Who is going to be our next HFC who will take us to the Promise Land or places even many of us dreamers would have never thought? Our upside is still quite up! We ain't no shrinking violet. Hell! What we going to do when we hit 50,000 students at our Denton campus? We sure as hell ain't going to make Apogee smaller. GMG! And who came up with that black & white of Seth Littrell? He looks like that Monster he was always talking about. I'm sure his wife would like the original copy! LOL!

KSU is lucky to have a fan like you; in fact, you remind me of many of us. Passion for our schools is our common ground you might say.

One would have had to be totally blind to not see that this was going to happen. No one I know was going to be caught off guard at all with this. Seems coaching changes happen all over the NCAA. (uh, duh)? You still feel sorta' jilted for a few brief shining moments, though. We bought in--but not all did. I will not burn my UNT degree over something so trite, though. GMG!

Now we're kicking the AD's ass? Under whose watch was close to $6 million raised in 2 months? AD's don't have speech-writers like our glorious U.S. politicians do. Come on, fellas, Wren has a whole bunch on his mind the last few weeks; mostly that he might have to start interviewing for our favorite school a new HFC. GMG!

I guess CUSA had to reward him because he's a Senior? UNT: Do whatever it takes next few years to get out of this damn hodge podge of a geographical nightmare. Hell, most of these schools weren't even playing football the day we kicked the Tennessee Volunteer's ass in Knoxville. CUSA West should bribe the MWC to take us as most of an East Division. They'd get several Top 25 TV markets with CUSA West and stadiums that can host bowls. AND.......Don't tell me there isn't politickin' that goes along in CUSA coach's circles. 😞 Hope CUSA officials with their decision didn't convince Mason Fine to move on. CUSA doesn't go out of their way for North Texas except "let us" take SMU's place. Big freakin' deal that turned out to be. How many votes did Stockstill get in the Davey O'Brien poll? Mason Fine won the damn 1'st round!
