  1. All you young gun alums who sat on the student side will be surprised how we older nestors on the west side of Fouts haven't completely lost all our tail-feathers. GMG!
  2. These guys we call the Mean Green, Coach Darrell Dickey & staff as well as the entire NT athletic department deserve SRO this next Saturday night against the Tulsa University Golden Hurricanes. Lets accomodate them, MG Nation!
  3. It ain't over till its over but hasn't this been one weird college football game?
  4. Meager still throws like he has a very tender shoulder.
  5. BYE, BYE CLOCK!
  6. Need a very long sustained drive capped by a TD. I am not understanding why no Jamo?
  7. That may have sunk MT!
  8. Just what kind of green are on our helmets? Looks like US Army green to me. The North Texas on the helmet seems more readable than the script, though, but still needs some getting used to.
  9. Looks like the kind of tackle sorta' similar to the one that messed up Terrell Owens at Texas Stadium last year. Not good for Chris Henry. Hope he will be ok.
  10. Absolutely....that was not a first down at Fouts shouldn't have been at Floyd.
  11. I don't think the MT QB really got a first down as given to him.
  12. I think our "D" will be fired up now.
  13. THATS OUR MIGHTY QUINN!
  14. This is one weird game isn't it?
  15. LIttlejohn is killing us. Wonder who might want to block him?
  16. You cannot stop Super JaMo the whole game!
  17. Can't P. Cobbs also pass the ball? DD (or Flanagan) may need to start calling a few exotic plays to confuse MT's aggressive "D".
  18. This NT football team particularly with all the new faces didn't need to open against a veteran SBC team with what has turned out to be our season opener. Veteran's vs. inexperince? The NT defensive line is non-existant thus far.
  19. MT's defense looks like ours for most of the Booger Kennedy era. Thought our offensive line would be better than they are thus far.
  20. But last year, we had all the experience, now MT has all that. We are suddenly a young football team with a QB who has not been that bad tonight. For NT, its just not happening in the trenches where games are won or lost. We need Cobbs and/or Thomas to break a long one for a quick score early on in the 2'nd half. Still amazing that we are only behind 7 points.
  21. Isn't this about what we thought we might see with this defensive line? We've had one major grade casualty, almost one heat stroke and just about everything to affect our DL plus its quite young. So far or DL has given MT some semblance of a running game they didn't have last week against a better Bama defense. You have to give credit to MT's offensive line and their experience is proving to be a big plus. I was afraid this spread out MT offense would get some good yards but for the 2'nd half as long as our "D" bends and not break, it might give our offense a chance to get some kind of rhythm going. So far I don't think Cobbs in/Thomas out----Cobbs out/Thomas in is going to get the necessary kind of rhythm going that any RB needs and cannot get if he is out half the game. Just my .02... PS NT Athletics did a great job of keeping secret the fact that receiver Johnny Quinn has been sick as a dog all week long with what the announcer said may have been food poisoning or some kind of intense virus. Said it months ago, but this team needs about 4 or 5 games to get comfortable with each other. They are just not a unit yet. Tulsa will be a hard game based on tonights game BUT...................lets see what happens in the 2'nd half vs MT!
  22. We are lucky to be only 1 touchdown behind in this game thus far. Don't we receive the kick-off to begin the 2'nd half?
  23. CLOCK MANAGEMENT TIME!
  24. Much needed fumble recovery! Hey! Put Cobbs and Thomas in at the same time and just make the BR's guess all night long.
