What today’s NCAA power brokers are allowing reminds me a lot of what the present U.S. Congress is allowing & I assure all if the U.S. wants to remain a 50 states Union they better start reeling in some of their crap. I can visualize the NCAA people who have rubber-stamped all this looking like Fry Street hippie dropouts from the 1970’s. It just makes me very ill. Wonder if the NCAA will be able to know when -all this completely gets out of hand? _______________ CREATE A SAFETY NET (of sorts)...If a player uses his original school to transfer up to another school then make their new school pay back their scholarship to the original school who signed them or...a variation thereof. The new school is the beneficiary of this new college football farm system. I know monitoring all that would be a nightmare, but none of the lower P5 or G5 schools started this portal transfer Chinese Fire Drill. I don’t see how AAC Commish’ Aresca thinks this can benefit any G5 school. 🦅❇️🦅BEAT MIAMI of OHIO !

Isn’t it a typical DFW response, wardly? The WBAP TCU Tree Frogs gang of Hal Day & Brian Estridge got their shots In on our bowl yesterday. Are we not the only 6 win bowl team to beat a Top 25 (15) team? That alone should get us some respect. We could stop all this in its tracks if we merely put a string of 3 or 4 winning seasons together. We have Coastal Carolina, freakin’ U of Louisiana, App. St. & similar as role models to go up to the next level. With AAC membership looming we now have no choice but to Portal our way to the next level. We may be 3 years behind in doing that now. We have a good foundation of young talent at UNT from our last 3 recruiting classes. Time to tweak all that with Portals who will be starters. •••Walk up day of game ticket sales will produce a good Mean Green crowd if some of our fans want to take that chance. Those “day of” ticket sales put the icing on the cake for the 2 HOD Bowl games in Dallas. 🦅

AND......How bout’ the night on MNF when Dandy Don Meredith said in reference to the Mean Joe Greene era at UNT how he was glad SMU didn’t have us on the Mustang’s schedule with those teams. Why would Dandy Don say that? Maybe because that UNT team had 3 NFL #1 draft choices on it with another 12(?) who would be drafted?

As many of you would know, In the world of sales any semblance of negativity aimed at a competitor can just as easily work against the one spreading the negativity. I think good sales people can warn who they are selling to that that might happen with the next one they talk to? Kids can now leave a school at the drop of a hat thru the portal so if they sign with UNT & SL they still do have that option if he left what would be prematurely (in their eyes) & if they think they’d been deceived in the recruiting process. Long term contracts with NCAA FBS HFC’s are not worth the paper they’re written on anymore. Who thinks Traylor will stay at UTSA for the duration of his 10 year contract? I don’t.

Trying to remember all those polls last Summer on how many the majority said SL had to win to come back in 2022 & “6” comes to mind that many settled on? Question now is if Wren Baker has to do more than 2022 & 2023 to keep our momentum going in recruiting since the wolves at our door will multiply. The last 5 weeks have proven that our past 2 or 3 highly rated CUSA recruiting classes are paying nice dividends now with our youth program, but then we will move forward with a more competitive AAC membership in 2023. 🦅
