If you're a kicker at the D1-A level, shouldn't you have much better numbers at the 40-49yrd range. 33% is just too low. He's knocked down all of his 50+ yarders. So what's the excuse?

Party on the Plaza: UNT and WFAA Channel 8
kalebschumann replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Panini Wednesday was a staple my freshman year! After a MUED class, the gang would go enjoy some panini's and classy salad. I spent all my weekends in Bruce, not in Clark. Clark emptied out over the weekends. -

Listen to Evan and Harry after George and Hank
kalebschumann replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
I see no reason why this couldn't end up on KNTU after a season or so. I always stay for the GB to play Never Walk Alone. After that and a walk back to my car, the post game show is usually wrapping up their interview or show. It would be amazing to have some sort of call in show with lots of people talking Mean Green Football on the radio! Couldn't be happier for this news. I shall be listening to it religiously. -
I think Tony Mitchell's ability to dominate a game is clear cut. I think that looking past stats will show that there is nobody in the league even close to his ability level. I think the Lebron James Skills academy got it right. I think you did not.

My First Game At Apogee Stadium This Weekend!
kalebschumann replied to chrisfisher's topic in Mean Green Football
I love GMG.com Look how many people are opening their tailgate up to a complete stranger!!! My tailgate will be in the dirt lot across the street from the front gate. Mean Green tent, and a game of corn hole going all day! -
Definitely taking the day (the day after too?) off of work.

OH MY GOD YOU'RE A TROLL!!! Texas State lucked into playing a terrible Houston team. They lose that game if they become D1-A one year earlier. It's not like they had the foresight to plan Houston on their down year. UTSA is the only major college event within an hour's drive. It only has to compete against the NBA (hardly any substantial season overlap). And it's in a city that has NEVER had college football. They barely beat South Alabama (first year D1-A) in San Antonio, Texas A & M Commerce (terrible) in San Antonio, and soon to be Sun Belt member GaSt. I only think last of the three wins shows anything. UTSA and TxSt are not even close to our situation. We have two other D1 Schools within a 45 minute drive. We have four major sports teams to compete against (Rangers and Cowboys in full swing during our season). We have some of the nations most intense HS football (see the Allen stadium) in the nation. We have half a dozen of any number of minor league sports teams. So if we don't win, there's no reason to show up. These comparisons are not fair at all.

Column: UTA football program would be too costly
kalebschumann replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Even Texas A & M Commerce has a football team. I'm absolutely baffled as to why UTA still doesn't have a football team. -
I believe Harry set a complaining quota per thread. They're just getting the thread to the quota of complaints.

My checking account sure would enjoy a Dallas Bowl game.

Burn! Also... I was under the impression that this was the schedule thread...

CBS Sports Week #3 Conference Power Ranking

7! I'll take that. Has the Sun Belt had a better start to a season? As a football conference, it's been a good year I would say. -

Whenever I tailgate, I get a whole slew of music friends to come out. Most of them don't really care about football or even know what's going on, but they walk from the parking lot to the stands with me. We sit right by the GB and yell loudly (basically at all times). These people are not die-hards, they just like hanging out with their friends. I just got them to hang out at Apogee on Saturday home games. And over the past two years or so, some of those music people have turned into die hards. So it's happening. There are more butts in seats. I know the cutlure is a heck of a lot better than when I first got to NT in 2007.

Attendance estimates for Troy Game ?
kalebschumann replied to MeanGreen61's topic in Mean Green Football
The TSU game had about 22k right? I don't see any reason why that number goes down. Family weekend + previous win = 25k -
He should stick with pregame smack talk.. Not post game wrap up.
-
The Houston Music people are rather arrogant. The Houston guys I know have been smack talking the GB all summer. The entire show was designed to show who the boss was in collegiate marching band. (not intending to start a marching band debate.... just saying... the GB's has been gearing up to show Houston who the musical powerhouse in the state is)
