I liked the 4pm start time. It gave me time to take a nap before I went out to Lou's!

I saw the Occupy Denton camp with my own eyes this weekend after the game... I can't believe it's real... I don't know if they know how much they really need the 1% that they're protesting. I saw so many people using Coleman tents, wearing Rangers shirts, and eating Jimmy Johns. All of these are part of the 1% that they are protesting. Escaping the corporate 1% is nearly impossible. The 1% makes our lives livable.

Good thing Denton has a Francetown and Nigeriatown neighborhood with a lot of French and Nigerian Dentonites.

It looks tacky when 200 people rush the field and not the entire studnt side... There were quite a large number of students in the stands with question marks over their heads as they saw people rushing the field. I was one of them. My immidiate thoughts were, "North Texas doesn't know what to do when they win, and GMG is going to go nuts over it." I didn't expect all the old-timers to be ok with it like you guys are. This whole "let's start a new tradition" thing... Really? There's got to be something better than over celebrating an average conference game win. It's not like the game was even close at the end! Last second field goal... Maybe.. If it sealed a bowl-bid or a conference title.. for sure. But a regular old conference win? I don't think so. You don't get to rush the field after every victory. That's what makes rushing the field a special occasion- it only happens every once in a while. Not for a double digit lead of a game that was in control most of the 4th quarter. I'm all for partying on the hill, or lighting the tower green- or something. But not storming the field.

Yep. It's all contigent upon winning at ASU on Saturday.

I was thinking the same thing. A win over ASU would make us the "Flavor of the Week"... Even though we lost to both LaLa and FIU. A win against ASU could set the tone for a crazy finish to the season.

I was thinking about this the other day. We are still playing meaningful football in late October! Tell me that this doesn't feel amazing! Coach Mac has his first year team of Todd Dodge's awful recruits in a situation to make themselves bowl eligible! This program is definitely moving the right direction.

I agree. I personally think it should be more like 10, not 14. But I'm biased, and I watch the Sun Belt regularly.

I was in the BB Band when this was started. I've seen Dr. Williams kick people out of the band for shouting the MF-ing Eagles. I think it's trashy when you add swearing into one of your school's songs.

I studied music at UNT... So that's basically the definition of national recognition. -- But on a non-arrogant note- if the list was for academics I would have to agree with that.

I'm a fan of the Occupy Apogee Movement! Protesting... ummm... well none of the other Occupy protestors know what they're protesting- so we don't need to know either!

Yea. I think it's against NCAA rules to show a replay of a play that is being reviewed. I'm fairly certain they can replay it until the official call from the booth comes down. I think it is to prevent losing control of the crowd.

I was just being ironic. In Jacksboro- there's not a lot of big name corporations since it's a small town. So I was going to sarcastically protest about the lack of big business and say that we needed more companies in Jacksboro. I love big business and I think the protests are silly.

Unlike the other Occupy Protests, Occupy Jacksboro is my official protest about lack of corporate involvement in my city. The other protests may be protesting the 1% of the population that has "all the power and money," but I say we aren't complete without that last 1%!!!! I want my big business in Jacksboro!

Does that mean our games against UT, OU, LSU, and Alabama count as rivalries? We've been playing them for a long time. Most of them are close- within a half day of driving. And there is a lot on the line- the million dollars we get paid.
