What would we be able to criticize then?!?! Those are the two things they chose to highlight about our ability to facilitate a national crew- proper lighting and wiring? That's kind of randomly interesting. I might have gone with the multiple press boxes, or media rooms, or something along those lines. Kind of funny I think.

1. You're right- I mispoke. But to me, conference regular season championship means not a whole lot to me. His record in the Sun Belt Tourny Speaks for itself- at least to me. 2. The coach doesn't pick our opponents. We always fair decently against the Big 12 teams that come to the Pit. I would just like us to play some teams with a higher RPI before we get into conference play. We can accomplish this by playing some of the larger conferences. We hardly ever tap the upper level BBall conferences. I'll be happy with a winning season and a shot at the winning the conference tourny every year. JJ brings stability and consistent winning to the table. And I'll take that.

I agree with the fact that "North Texas" is simply too much to put on a helmet. I get that we're going for the whole 'name branding' thing with our name- but is the helmet really where the Athletics Department wants to make their stand for name recognition. Put the eagle on it. It looks super sweet, and different than most teams. I've never really thought of it- but most schools just put their school letters on their hemlet and call it a day. That doesn't seem to be an option here with the "NT" vs "UNT" battle that seems to always get super heated. But I think most can agree that the "North Texas" is simply not eye-catching. Yes... It's the thick of the off-season now. I'm actually writing my bleacherreport article on cleats... So be looking for that one next month.

I'm not really sure what we're debating here. JJ took a team that lost two of its top three players to the conference championship. He took a team that most people (myself included) were dead in the water. We've made the conference championship two years in a row (and 4 times in the past 6 years). As far as I can tell, we're complaining about the RPI of the teams that we play. We are saying that we should play teams with a higher RPI, so when we DO make the tourny, we have a shot of grabbing a 15 or 14 seed. JJ has proven that he can take his team to the tourny (or darn close). He's doing his job as far as I'm concerned. Now deciding what seed they get once they get in - to me that's something that has a lot more factors in it then how JJ coaches. I'm fairly confident JJ is doing his job basically perfectly.

That video is freaking awesome! I like the way it looks! Has similar ideas as the new business building and Apogee. It also keeps that light tan-ish brick color that all of our buildings have. And who isn't a fan of the huge banners in the front!

During the tournament- I kept finding myself forgetting that Holmen has one more year! This excited me a ton. He was the offensive jump start that we needed in the tourny this past weekend. Other than getting Jones and Williams back, and the return of Mitchell (since these appear to be the 'obvious' things to look forward to), Seeing Holmen's senior year is what I'm looking forward to the most.

I was actually thinking on my way back about how AWESOME Hot Springs is for us to have the tourny. Lots of restaurants in the area. A bar that the UNT crowd has taken over. And it's fairly scene Central Ave is fun to walk up and down. I hope it stays in HS for a while.

I don't know... We should be able to get a lot of the dorm kids that usually go home over the weekends. I think the oddity of the game being on a Tuesday + the national coverage will get a pretty good turn out, alost regardless of record.
