I think each team was brought in for other aspects than the quality of the program: UNT- Replace a DFW school UTSA- Tap into a huge untapped market ODU- Basketball LT- Needed another LA school The schools they are adding are clearly not based on the success of the program.

You're right. I think we all agree that the name recognition definitely helps. But how much? 3k 5k? I think something in the area of 2-4k is what we should realistically expect as our increase for next year. Maybe 5k increase from this past year to our first year in CUSA.

I vote for Liverpool! They have all the history that anybody could ever want! All the titles, and call backs to the "Glory Days". And after some mediocrity in the 90's, they are a team on the rise, and have been in the mix the past decade. Not to mention- you'd be able to start watching them in some important games right away on Saturday- the FA Cup!

As long as I didn't read the editorial section, I could usually stand it. There are only so many "Parking prices are too high" and "Tuition is too high" and "Why are we building this building" articles I can take. Usually it's not too bad.

When Red McCombs owned the Vikings- it was a distinct possibility. Red McMombs has ties to San Antonio. As a Vikings fan (I proudly wear my purple Favre jersey!), I hope this doesn't happen. This discussion of the LA Vikings has been going on as long as I can remember. Here are teams that make more sense to move to LA: St. Louis Jacksonville Carolina For what it's worth- moving the Rams back to LA would knock the NFC West into just two timezones instead of the three it currently spans across.

I think the overall sentiment is this: -Play crappy other Texas teams... But at least we don't have to travel out of state, so it'll be a fun day. -Play not crappy teams... But we will have to travel out of state (or a long way in state). From a fan's perspective- I don't care who we play, as long as it's near and we can win. From a persepctive of the program in the long run- I want to get into the better conference.

I live in Jacksboro. On the fringe of basically all the local DFW stations. I think I get them much more clearly during the night time than the daytime. I don't know why that is.But stations like 104.1 (Ticket simulcast) 101.1 WRR (classical nerd), and 105.3 always come in much better for me at night.
