  1. I think our band is great. I just wish they would play more and loud when the opposite team has the ball. You're on the 50 for a reason band! lets hear ya!
  2. Never been so happy to walk so far to get to the stadium. Great atmosphere.
  3. I'd like to see the band start playing more when the opposite team is on O. Seems as though they purposely go quiet. I thought we stuck them on the 50 for a reason?
  4. Voertmans was really busy today selling UNT gear. Good feeling seeing so many students buying up shirts and mean green gear. I did some work on their new nike inventory too. Seemed like a lot of people participated in Friday Pride Day on campus. Got 6 coming with tomorrow. GMG.
  5. UNT-27 FIU-24 Dunbar with 2 rushing TD's. Hamilton or Bynes with 1 TD. Brelan has 2 40yd. kickoff returns. He's still returning right?
  6. More importantly A&M is about to announce they are leaving the Big 12. I think they are supposed to get some new unis too.
  7. I think parents got to do a better job too in raising their kids. A young child, either boy or girl doesn't know he/she shouldn't be gobbling up Burger King and watching tv all day. Parents gotta do a better job of encouraging outside activity and providing a more nutritious meal.
  8. Or he watches practices, talks to players, and chooses to discuss UNT football related material. I guess we could go back to conference talk or maryland and georgia's uniforms.
  9. Will needs to find the field. Somehow.
  10. Good convo from both sides. I think KRAM is trying to point out that preventative care doesn't have to be done by a nurse and clip board. If you read the definition you provided, many are not necessary to promote a healthy lifestyle and prevent anything. We shouldn't need the doctor to tell us we are overweight and need to cut back on the fries and icecream. We shouldn't need the doctor to tell us to exercise after a office job all day, or that cigarettes, tobacco, alcohol, sniffing paint pens, drinking butter, etc. are bad for us. Sure, early diagnosis and discovery would certainly help in cutting costs but how many of those diseases, cancers, or operations could of been avoided by better choices in the past? Of course many couldn't be avoided but I'm sure many cases exist that could've been. I think we've kinda lost the personal responsibility part of America and we are witnessing its effects on our economy, health care, and education systems now.
  11. Awesome. I'd really like to get into this. Do you favor a website or store that provides the necessary "kit"
  12. Give me a Feldt before this guy. Nothing like hauling in a big O or Dline guy. I agree with SilverEagle.
  13. Awesome job. I thought it took a few months to brew homeade beer though? Are you using a store bought set up or something else?
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wacfY-w0Vjc&feature=related And I apologize if this comes off as a democrat bash simply because that's the link I used but that's not what this topic is about. If someone has a good Conservative video feel free to post the link. I like to read articles that are conservative and liberal slanted. I think this helps me try to get a good idea of the entire political spectrum and how all the parties feel on different topics. Obviously I disagree with many, if not all, of the liberal points, BUT I still completely respect their thoughts. And then I read the comments section..... The above video is the type of stuff I typically come across. Just a complete lack of knowledge. I would be willing to bet that these completely off thoughts spread like wild fire throughout the liberal army. Like I said... I completely respect knowledgeable democrats that are capable of debating a good subject. But these videos and comments I keep coming across are driving me insane. Talking with some liberals the other day about their thoughts and they actually thought that rich people pay a less AMOUNT of tax. Ex.) They thought if they were paying 10 dollars total in taxes, a wealthy person was paying 8 dollars total in taxes "because they are rich and the republicans only want poor people to pay taxes." They thought healthcare was really going to be "free". Like poof magic free. Money from the skies free. "Obama's stash" type free. When asked how we should encourage job growth they thought we should raise taxes on the wealthy and corporations. They thought we should "make gas prices lower" by simply "telling the oil companies to charge less". They thought public education was funded through federal taxes. How do you even begin to debate with people like this when they are so far from being anywhere close to anything remotely correct? The problem is - we aren't dealing with intelligent democrats (or republicans) that simply have a different view on things. We are dealing with completely uneducated citizens that are completely off base. Quite frankly, its pretty scary. This was just my most recent experience and democrats feel free to share any conversations you've had with conservative idiots because I'm sure they exist too.
  15. Here's an interesting thought. Once we are on our way to bowls and hangin conference champs banners what will happen with student entries once all students are riding the train? Don't schools like A&M only allow admission to x amount of games a year? What if we do sell out all seats and have to turn students away?
  16. Is this Mean Green Football related or The Eagle's Nest related? Let the voting begin.
  17. Great to hear. I heard on RV's GMG interview that we have a 15% increase in freshman enrollment. Good to see that some of the 15% are athletic supporting band enthusiasts. Can't wait to hear how loud they'll be in the stadium. Anyone know the avg amount we've had the past few years? Also, we need more cowbell. Can anyone make this happen? I need more cowbell.
  18. Look yyz28, you make some good points but you got to look at how our economy got the way it did. It was Bush's fault, the Chinese tsunamis, the south american spring, nascar kool-aid party baggers, the NRA, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Stephen Colbert, Deepwater horizon explosion, HAARP, Anthony Weiner, etc. Obama hasn't done anything wrong. He's just being held back by the above people from fixing the problem.
  19. Interesting side note on #6 is Perry's recent remarks on Bernanke. Isn't Bernanke (or the Chairman and Fed in general) "connected" to the Bildiberger group? Perry is almost rebelling or something now by his remarks on the Fed's secrecy and wanting them to address what their REAL goals are. The more I look into the other choices it seems Ron may be the best pic. Everybody has to remember that our government is comprised of three different branches. Although Ron has some very libertarian views on some topics, most or all of these would not pass or would be heavily modified. But I think having someone like Ron in would promote real cuts and solutions rather than the same ole same ole like you suggest "the establishment" would. And at 75 I'm pretty sure he isn't trying to be a career guy or start seeking reelection in his second year.
  20. Can't Wait Till 1st "1/4 filled? Even during the worst of Todd Dodge's era the ugly and rundown stadium of Fout's Field was still half full. Have you seen any sizable increase in SMU's attendance at football games that would make you believe that they are more capable than UNT? 36k students....90k alum in DFW....just hired an ex Big 12 Coach who knows how to build a program in the most adverse of situations. You sir....know crap about UNT and about the program and your opinion is best left inside of that seeping pit of a one-eyed winker stinker (aka your mouth)."
  21. I tend to agree with the posters on here regarding Perry. While I may be a fiscal conservative republican, some of Perry's cuts have seriously hurt our education system. We really need to fix the problems associated with the gross margins tax under performing so the state can pick up a higher % of the education bill instead of greatly stressing our local communities. I believe this is supposed to be getting worked now or soon correct?
  22. This is the part I don't understand. How can democrats publicly support this bill when Pelosi is helping businesses be exempt from it in her caucus. Is that not easy proof that this mandate is job killing?
