  1. You are correct.
  2. I was at the Men's game! Took my grandson to see his dad. BTW, It wasn't that last shot that lost the game... it was some poor possessions down the stretch and home court advantage. My 2 cents: They are a much better team this year.
  3. She was contemplating going to the Press Conference just to give him a hug and wish him well. He came to many of her HS and AAU games. WF was in her top 5.
  4. Dino Guadio is looking for a job... WF let him go because he couldn't get past the second round in the NCAA tourney... even though he got IN every year he coached.
  5. I know Coach Pete personally.... congratulations to both UNT and Coach. Not only does he offer experience but will bring much needed stability. Raquel knows many girls from the WF team and never heard about any complaints. Great find!
  6. I just passed this on to ECHO - he's always looking for a game! Raquel is always looking for a pick-up game too. Forewarned: she has a potty mouth and she likes to pick the biggest guy in the gym to "school". Off the court, she could be a first grade teacher. On the court, she's a _______.
  7. I would be happy to help! Raquel is in. She will also reach out to the men's team and see who may be available to guest ref. She rattled off a couple names... she should have confirmations by mid-week.
  8. ECHO is in (if you'll have him) Age: 24 6'4", 235lbs Will be wearing spandex under his shorts this year Last year's BIO: Played in HS and while in the Army, for the Post team. With the post team played games and in tournaments against D1 & D2 programs as well as JUCO's. Also had tournaments on post for intramural inter-league play. Can play the 1-4. Was a slasher in HS with decent speed for size.
  9. I just saw that there was another thread conveying this - but Brelan Chancellor earned the #1 spot for ESPN's top plays today with his sideline catch. That's great promo for the school! Don't be too hard on the team you guys. They need some work but if you erase the 1st quarter problems, they actually settled in after the fumble returned for a TD. No one wants to hear that it's going to "take time". Trust me, I'm a WBB parent... I KNOW!
  10. They usually show up after 2pm - everyday except Friday.
  11. I really appreciate it. I am looking forward to being a spectator again. I like to think we raised a winner. Her spirit was close to broke, but she's getting the fire back in the spring work-outs. We're bringing her to NY to work out with her trainer for a few weeks. She needs to rub the rust off her ball handle and footwork. Along the same lines, we're also very encouraged by the hires.
  12. You're exactly right. In women's basketball it's more about skill. If you have a 5'10" post player that has been playing the post since she was a little girl opposed to a 5'10" guard that is pushed into that position as a sophomore in college, the outcome will be more productive. The typical women's basketball post player is between 5'11"-6'3". Alysha Clark (MTSU) and Chastity Reed (UALR) were effective post players. Both players were shorter than 6'. Neither were threats on the perimeter but could rebound and score the ball within 10'-15' of the basket. I know I am thrilled that there are some big bodies coming in!
  13. Hubby doesn't want to play but he would like a Shirt. 3XL (Green) Name on back: M. Cuffie (he's so original!) He would have made a good lineman. You know what Ben wants on his shirt:
  14. I can speak for mine. She's optimistic. Personally, I am relieved.
  15. You know the Athletic Dep't wasn't the only ones sold on 94' heat! Then, come to find out she only pressed in the last 2 minutes of the game and transition meant the PG trots the ball up the court. It's a new day. Now it's up to the girls to respond.
