dang. i accidentally gave you a "-1" on this intending to give you a "+1". i REALLY like this suggestion. much better than "mean green stadium" which would carry about as much tradition as "papa johns stadium". if villarreal is part of this meeting, i don't see him suggesting it, but i would love "the V" named after the AD with the stones to see that thing through.

can we add: 6. Will the kicking game be improved? it's an exhausted point but how many late-game opportunities were lost due to place kicking? there were plenty of missed field goals and several times when we'd take a late lead and then watch the ensuing kickoff sail out of bounds leaving our defense in a horrible position. if this team is to resolve their problems with close games, there needs to be stability at place kicker.

i think you can find higher quality uniforms on some of the rec teams on campus. i can understand a replica looking like it's off the rack at walmart, but not the actual jersey. the whites don't look as cheap. the blacks are fine as an occasional thing. the greens, however, look like garbage.

along with dunbar, carey is the player on last year's squad who brought me to my feet every time he touched the ball because he might make something great out of nothing. i'm very anxious to see him gain familiarity with things and be even more of a factor this year.

remind yourself of the wilson unis our hoops team wears and you'll appreciate the under armour gear. i wish UA would fix up our basketball look.

here's my confusion...if you're not running, what's the cost? i'd feel cheesy showing up w/out paying a dime. i'd also feel lame registering for the 5k and not running.

no, the interest lies in just one more opportunity to set a financial standard for the "true" supporter of the program. that's why people get all up in arms when they are given seats to a tourney basketball game that are too far away from the action. it has less to do with seeing the game and more to do with a missed opportunity to either brag or ridicule.

i would love to have baseball but we can barely get people to turn out for a 20+ win basketball team. an upstart baseball program would be playing to parents.

i have to admitt that i just changed my vote. initially, i'd voted 'yes' simply because the game's importance can't be understated. that said, the question assumes a loss to clemson but if they win the opener, a victory over rice would be icing on the cake, right? also, if they start 0-2 and finish out with a sunbelt title, i'm thinking the rice lost would be a distant memory. with 10 games left in the season, it's hard to call it a "must win" but it sure seems important to get off on the right foot for the psyche of both the team and the fans.

when he ran down cedric benson late in the first half of the game in austin in '04, he quickly became one of my favorites. we were already getting blown out but he refused to let benson waltz into the endzone after another long run. he's in second place with 33% of the vote right now.

i agree. i'm thinking the schedule strength drain that the sunbelt conference games would create is too much to overcome mathmatically. i'd love to be wrong.

is there anything more defeating than the poor quality of the sunbelt network broadcast? because the loss hurt too much, i didn't rewatch the army game last year but i wonder if it would've made a huge difference just having brad and babe in the booth.

first of all, i think i'd rather make sure we beat rice instead of clemson. that first home game needs to be good. secondly, if we were to lose to clemson but rattle off a sunbelt championship, would it fill the stadium for the finale against KSU on the saturday after thanksgiving? i doubt it. i'm not saying a win over clemson would have enough staying power to make an impact on the finale, but i have to think part of what would keep people away is the assumption that we'll get smoked because we always do against AQ teams.

from the same site: akansas or louisville? new razorback unis looks like we're not the only school to adopt unis that look like a new coach's old school's. i haven't seen helmets but i'm curious to know if they go white.

we could play them at ford stadium and i wouldn't care as long as we were to a point where the program had a shot at pulling off the upset. i'm much more concerned about those details than i am about where an unconfirmed game will take place.
