  1. Big thanks to Ashton & Co for the first two segments opening up this week's episode focused on how these young men are demonstrating the leadership and selflessness that the staff (and, I believe the one before it) works tirelessly to instill in them. Absolutely loved hearing Coach LeBlanc speak on his commitment to holding Hood to a higher standard with the football program as a means to teach him how to better lead his family.
  2. Something tells me Ashton may have some info on his cutting room floor. The Beyond the Green episode covering the Mean Joe's involvement in homecoming included a scene with Wren & Joe riding around Apogee in a golf cart together. I couldn't help but hope that part of that ride included discussion of a future statue location.
  3. Based on the uni combos displayed as they are for recruit visits, it"s clear that Littrell recognizes the importance of this aspect of a program in terms of it"s appeal to today"s youth. The weekly tweets announcing the upcoming attire seems to serve as additional evidence that it"s not being overlooked. With a new AD assessing the department's budget and a current uniform set that no one is a big fan of (at least, according to this forum), it seems best to allow Wren to figure out where there is or isn't room to make uniform adjustments and - rather than spending money on a one-off alternate right now - wait to determine what room there may be financially to make more sweeping changes down the road.
  4. Looks like a sustained turnaround to me... Rk Year Conf W L T Pct SRS SOS AP Pre AP High AP Post Coach(es) Bowl Notes 1 2016 MAC 9 0 0 1.000 33.01 13.68 17 P.J. At the least, I'd love to test my assumption
  5. Maybe my favorite episode of the season. Really focused on allowing us to see the coaches plying their craft - both preparing for the game and interacting with the players. I continue to grow in appreciation for the staff Littrell put together and this episode does a great job of highlighting them.
  6. Not sure if it's been pointed out yet but Wilson has a great chance to lead the nation in rushing TDs among RBs. He's currently tied for #2 (omitting QB Jackson)... 7. Also made Bleacher Report's All-Week 8 First Team... http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2670366-college-footballs-all-week-8-first-team-top-performers-at-every-position/page/11 First Team: Eric Jenkins, North Texas Moments after North Texas had a 34-yard touchdown pass, Eric Jenkins scored a 34-yarder of his own. He plays defense. The junior college transfer—who also returned an interception to the house in Week 7—had two tackles (one for loss) and two pass breakups during the 35-18 win at Army.
  8. I think this week's game will be important in that the players and staff will learn a lot about how to handle a bye week. The results will help the program identify where their use of the off week was successful and where there's room for improvement. Does the team look "two weeks better"?
  9. Also noticed this one...
  10. Well played, King! As for 6 wins, I enjoyed the Hit 6 mantra in 2013 but much prefer Littrell's "one week better". If this team continues to get "one week better" I don't see any reason why 6 wins isn't possible.
  11. I'm all for wearing whatever uni combo appeals to the players and recruits but I would like to pull out the green helmets at least once this season
  12. He was obviously acknowledged for his performance against Rice winning CUSA Defensive Player of the Week but I thought it worth pointing out that he's really starting to put together a very noteworthy season. McClain currently leads CUSA with 3 INTs and is 3rd with 30 solo tackles. If he keeps this up, I think he may very well finally garner enough preseason buzz heading into 2017 to catch the attention of scouts and end our NFL draft drought in 2018.
  13. Agree to disagree. Admittedly, I didn't see this incident, but you described him as "yelling at players" and I'm not sure there's ever an appropriate time for this. I understand frustration but expressing that directly at an 18-21 year old who is working extremely hard to represent our university to the best of his ability doesn't feel productive.

  15. I agree with the thoughts expressed already...the show has done a great job highlighting the many positive sides of this staff and this program in a way that make the future look exciting - no matter the current on field results. I especially enjoyed the access given to recruiting phone calls. I think we all turned up the volume a bit searching for hints of who they may be talking too or about. Really loved the group huddled in what I assume is Harrell's office planning a pitch for some kid's mom. I don't have any idea the target being discussed but I definitely hope we land him. Many thanks to those who put in many hours to make this thing happen each week!
  16. Do I need to fill out a survey daily to witness the end of Naked Eugene Levy Scrappy?
  17. Tommy Perry is much too focused on his television stardom... Honestly, I highly value Perry's role in assisting with the coaching staff transition. I assume some of the issues we've seen thus far can be traced back to the lack of roster depth. I'm confident he'll get them coached up in short order.
  18. This was my thought on yesterday's offensive performance. We can't forget that our OC is in his "freshman" season as a playcaller and is learning how his players respond in real game action. I look forward to him better learning his players tendencies so he can develop a better feel for calling plays to settle things down or capitalize on their strengths. On the defensive side, I think there was a lot to build on. I trust the tackling will be worked on and improved. The loss hurts but I saw many promising things last night.
  19. A shared love of omelettes... Expecting Demonte Hood to make a notable impact in turning around last year's 5.2 yards per rushing attempt allowed.
  20. Very well done...Demonte Hood's 45 seconds on camera were more than enough to win me over
  21. I may've missed this info somewhere along the way but have we heard whether Littrell or Harrell will be calling offensive plays this fall?
  22. Pretty creative way to put together a Seth Littrell interview. Also enjoyed the opportunity to hear some of Barnett's experience at NT
  23. Having our OFF week between Marshall and Army should go a long way to help the staff prepare players for their scheme.
  24. Interesting camp battle seems to be underway...M&M Steward vs Energy Powder Attendant for the position of Littrell's "Diet Coke Boy"
  25. Not the locker room but saw this the other day...
