Sound_Man replied to PlummMeanGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
Is it possible yes, will it happen probably not. wether there is a tuner ie antenna, sat box, or cable box, is not important you cna always feed one in some how some way. just hte logistics and overall cost. Much better ways to spend the money -
AKA - ADLER can send the smae suggestion 50 times and they won't know they are all from him :-)

Well got the new trailer this morning, and this is what I was able to get done today These two are of how it was when it rolled into the shop With The wooden floor removed The start of the 4 stabilizer jacks Hopefully will be able to get the smoker on it sometime in the next week or two. Still need to get the rest of steel ordered and we can begin on the floor and the rest of the supports. Thanks to those of you htat have helped out so far. If anyone else can help us make this Smoker get finished it would be greatly appreciated. When it comes time to get the smoker transefered I will let people know to see if anyone can help, as that is when we will need the most man power to get it situated just right. Eric

Thanks to those of yo uthat have stepped up to the plate to make this a reality, only need a few more to get this started and on it's way to completion. Thanks 1. Green Dozer 2. FFRick 3. Adler 4. NT80 As many of you might know we have been blessed to be able to use what has become known as the "Other" Smoker. Bryan aka "Green Dozer" has allowed us to use this smoker, and now with his help and others we would like to get this smoker back on the road and ready to be at games and be a sight for all to see. As you can see the trailer it is on is red which is the first problem. The main one being though that this is not a road worthy trailer and can no longer make it to fouts field from its home in Aubrey. The goal is to get it onto a tandem axle 18ft trailer which would allow more working room around the smoker and allow for a storage area on the front for supplies, that way one person does not get stuck having to load and unload all the necessary supplies used from week to week after the game on saturday night. It would also allow us a place to transport and store the average of half a rick of wood needed for each game. Other project goals include an expanded metal floor to not allow for slipping on spilled fluids, a few "Dress-UP" items to make it a sight for all to see at home and road games. And a second shelf on the inside to allow more space to better prepare meat. This will help lead to juicer briquets which are not only tastier, but easier to cut, as some of you might have experienced at the last game. As well as a propane burner area up front for the warming of sauce and a small grill for food while cooking and staying the long hours with the food. Both myself and Green Dozer and going to pony up the bulk of funds as well as the labor to make this happen. What the GreenBackers are in need of is another $1000 to help cover and defray the high price of steel needed to help finish it out, as well as the paint / powder coating. Anything that is left over will either be redivided back out or put towards tailgating, whatever the donors prefer. In realizing that this is in addition to the many things that are asked of every year, anything that can be put towards would greatly help, weather it be monetary or in labor. This is by no means an attempt to shadow the current Smoker It has its place as would this one. As we choose to do a few larger cookouts ech year, it would simply not be possible without a larger smoker. And at some of the past cookouts, we have even used both of these. This is also an item that when done up right will do nothing but attract attention to North Texas both home, but away also and show to the world that there are fans here who do care just like everywhere else. Any inputs or suggestions on either design or anything else are always welcome.
