  1. Yes, is NIL taking away potential donations from Facilities and Master Plan goals for the Program? I'd rather have buildings that serve generations of fans and players than give $ to a great player that will probably transfer to a P4 anyway.
  2. Head coaches fire Coordinators for their own job security. And they need to when it involves poor performance like Seth or Matt Caponi.
  3. There is NO transparency with NIL. What player gets how much for how long? What if a player is injured or benched? What are each school's NIL totals? Too many unanswered questions. To ask fans to donate to an unknown fund for an unknown reason just because we're current fans is not rational. You're more likely to get donations based if the program meets certain goals. Just like a coaching bonus. Bonus/donations for wins, titles, Bowls, etc.
  4. Today against 3-3 ECU, Army had: 56 rushes, 295 yards, 5.3 average, 5 tds, 56 long run 7/10 passes, 147 yards, 21 yard average, 1 td, 41 long pass They make you load the box against the run, then slam you for a long pass...
  5. I predict our stadium will not be rocking in two weeks (open week).
  6. I love chaos in the Super Conferences. Probably half the fan bases in the SEC and Big10 want their coaches fired now, lol.
  7. Any opportunity to be seen Nationally in football during Prime Time on a Fall Saturday evening is a GOOD opportunity. But we need to WIN this opportunity to gain other opportunities!
  8. Another lost tradition. Homecoming and the Parade used to be a time for alums of all eras to return to NT. To reflect on their days there, renew friendships lost, and see how the campus has changed. Not all the change there recently has been good for the University!
  9. Yes, don't want anyone to confuse us with that lame team...
  10. They flash the Full SOW at the end of the video...so they know what it looks like...but just can't seem to find a way to attach it to a helmet...
  11. I like how they embossed our logo "on the trophy"!
  12. Are you going to watch our Bowl game since UH will be sitting at home?
  13. Agree. I was really concerned about our special teams this year with all the specialists that left and not hearing great reports from scrimmages. But it looks like all are gaining confidence and doing well now.
  14. Coach Morris said after last season the roster was mostly not "his guys", implying there wasn't buy in from everyone on the team then. But coach found some great players in the Portal and hopefully can continue that along with developing the freshman he recruited.
  15. https://csnbbs.com/thread-999103.html As loaded as NTSU is on offense, they are just as lacking on defense. Giving up 432.3 yards and 33 points per game. NTSU is -0.33 in turnover margin with 7 ints, but only 1 fumbles lost. NTSU allows 279.8 yards passing and 152.5 yards rushing per game. NTSU hasn't stopped anyone a single time in the red zone.
  16. I believe FAU was also our first win on natural grass since like 2010? Someone posted it the week before the game but I can't find it.
  17. Yes. According to Memphis fan forum stats we have not stopped any Red Zone score this season!
  18. Memphis fan forum thread on our game. Some interesting stats (yikes) about our upcoming game..... Tigers vs NTSU by the numbers NTSU hasn't stopped anyone a single time in the red zone. https://csnbbs.com/thread-999103.html
  19. It did earn us this from ESPN: I have to provide another honorable mention section since there were too many games that deserved mention: • FCS: Central Arkansas 34, West Georgia 33 • No. 18 Kansas State 31, Colorado 28 • Nevada 42, Oregon State 37 • North Texas 41, Florida Atlantic 37 • No. 22 Pitt 17, California 15 • No. 8 Tennessee 23, Florida 17 https://www.espn.com/college-football/insider/story/_/id/41775916/college-football-week-7-recap-top-10-storylines-rest-way
  20. We also have another Open week before the Army game to prepare, and get healthy.
  21. Memphis drew 25K in the rain vs MTSU 2 weeks ago. This weekend will be sunny and 76 degrees, perfect weather. The good news is half their stadium is gone (renovations), thus limiting the crowd on one side... https://share.earthcam.net/tJ90CoLmq7TzrY396Yd88LTdH7AhTqcHk3j_vRAe6-4/simmons_bank_liberty_stadium_renovation/camera/view_1
  22. SFA, Wyoming, Tulsa, Tech all scored first. Defense puts is in hole from the beginning. Couldn't come back vs Tech and almost didn't vs FAU. Only 8-point lead into 4th quarter vs FCS SFA. Only 10-point lead into 4th vs 2-4 USA. I don't know what else you need to see the defense has been a liability. If it was even average (not #116) we might be getting ranking consideration.
  23. National visibility, especially on a Saturday as opposed to Tuesday, etc is what moves you up the food chain of known programs.
  24. Our defense played better in the second half and I'd like to know what adjustments we are making at halftime. Why can't we adjust in-game during the first half? Still, overall our defense gave up 519 total yards and 37 points to a team only averaging 22 points this entire season (that includes a blowout over an FCS). NT only gained 484 yards total. FAU's QB had more yards passing and better completion percentage than Chandler for the whole game. This all means our defense is overall still a liability. A better quality opponent (like the 3 coming up) will not be as easy to make midway adjusts to overcome a large deficit (think TTech).
  25. Hope they all got splinters on the bench while counting their $$ !
