Eric Morris is great at identifying QB talent and offensive playmakers. He needs to find his twin to do the same for our Defense. Caponi is not it.

Exactly. I bet Florida State has a huge NIL stash, yet they are pitiful. I think we need Fan NIL. $$ to encourage new fans to come to games.

I watched the SHSU loss at home to WKU. There was maybe 8000 in the stands, which only seats 14,000 in a high school looking stadium. My bet is the MWC pulled their interest back. After securing UTEP, they don't need/want SHSU. Photo is a different game....

I heard TWU's team and Denton ISD teams were going to be there also. Was that before the NT portion? I doubt TCU has to share a court with TWC and FTW ISD teams. -
Probably had more to do with parking and hotel issues for visitors.

Defense - Someone Explain One Positive Attribute

It was not the time to be going for it from our own side of the 50. But to me, it shows more Morris' lack of confidence in our defense...not wanting to take the offense off the field yet. I have no confidence in our defense either. The offense shouldn't feel it needs to score 55 every game to win! -
Both players are great and I hope they stay. They could become legacy players for the program... if they stay and we find a defense. Or they can chase the $ with another team, and be forgotten by everybody, like most that have left. Being remembered has it's own perks and rewards!

Really glad to see this. These scrimmages will be much better for us than playing multiple versions of NAIA-U in OOC games.

A$M is paying a former head coach $78M not to coach. More $$ doesn't always = more competence.

NIL didn't win or lose the game for either team. Our decision to go for 4th down from our own 36 yard line and not make it helped Memphis with an easy TD. Our going for another 4th down instead of a FG again was aiding Memphis. etc

You imply Memphis won because of more NIL. How much more and what players? How do we know what Memphis has given in NIL compared to our NIL with no info from anyone about it?

Yes to this. I'm not against fans supporting and giving to NIL. I'm glad if they do, if it doesn't impact their other giving to Athletics. But more transparency is needed for me.
