  1. He was recruited by Coach Hayden Fry in 1976 and played for the Mean Green.... https://www.gomeangreen.com/forums/topic/67766-1976-recruiting-class/
  2. "The Owls have expressed stronger athletic ambitions under new university president Reginald DesRoches, and there's been a recent commitment in investment." Sure.....
  3. Listed in the draft as being from “Kansas State”.
  4. No, you're good. It was a tough game for fans to endure and watch. So much potential again, like many big home game opportunities in the past, wasted.
  5. Size of players is too small, poor tackling overall, players out of position for what the offense is doing, and poor defensive scheme overall. Is all that on the coaches or players? Yes to all.
  6. Ok, whatever. But we did have three players playing deep, in safety-like positions, three across....they showed it....more than once.
  7. ESPN announcers were all over our defensive ineptness. Saying we needed to get bigger up front and overall on defense, to poor tackling and poor strategy with 3 safeties defending a rushing offense.
  8. Tulsa in the first half 7-35, Tulsa in the second half 39-10. Lol.
  9. Excellent! Can it happen now?
  10. Even the announcers are criticizing the defense using 3 safeties vs a running offense.
  11. The defense still sucks again this week. No change.
  12. Also at 11 am is: Nebraska @ #4 Ohio St, Wash @ #13 Indiana, OU at #18 Ole Miss, Ga Tech @ Va Tech, UNC @ Va, Charlotte @ Memphis
  13. GCU is paying a $16 million entry fee to enter the WCC next summer. That's insane to begin with. My bet is GCU opts out of the WCC, asks the PAC for an invite, otherwise joins the MWC at only $3.5M.
  14. #17 Boise (-2.5) @ UNLV, 9:30 tonight. This may be the last real hurdle for Boise to claim the G5 CFP spot. Army and Navy would need the upset tonight to keep their AAC rep rights in tact.
  15. I think that says more about Memphis, conference favorites, not having the National image and media pull they and the PAC say they have.
  16. Showing highlights of your opponent's win is not the same as "playing" on National TV.
  17. Defense is so obviously the weak link...again...for this team. Time to end the experiment. It's the only way the team as a whole can improve "in all three phases"!
  18. Someone on the equipment staff has misplaced the SOW decals this year.
  19. Yes, how are "views" counted? If someone is channel surfing and lands on our game for a minute, then off, then again later for more, is that 2 or more views just by selecting ESPN2 each time?
  20. No, I agree with your thoughts. I was mad going for it from our side of the 50 so early in the game, plus not taking the FG shot. All those misses could have prevented just needing a FG at the end of the game to tie or win instead of a TD + 2 pts.
  21. Bowls also don't mean as much to players as they used to. We had our best RB opt out of our last Bowl loss, waiting for an NFL invite. Multiple players now also just opt out waiting for the portal to open. Bowl teams are not usually the same quality as your season-ending team (just ask Florida State).
  22. If my defense was as much liability as it is, I would not want them back on the field. I feel some of the decisions (going on 4th down, on side kick) is an attempt at that, to keep the offense on the field. The defense has been so poor, what's wrong with firing Caponi now, and trying an interim at DC the rest of the season? Seriously, could elevating another defensive assistant do any worse than what we have now?
  23. Yes, a good offense sells tickets at most programs. He will already be on some lists if we hit 8 wins (that includes Tulane and/or Army).
  24. Oregon State, Washington State to play each other twice in 2025 https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/41966617/oregon-state-beavers-washington-state-cougars-football-play-twice-2025
