  1. Sure, just lay back and enjoy it. Thanks Darrell. I bet all 2-9 program's fans are happier than we are. I bet all programs with 7-38 OOC records don't get complaints either. What? There are no others??
  2. NMSU plays football? Not what I saw this season! Just stick to your best sport of ...?....?....?....??
  3. UNT's nonexistant or poor showing in the Top 100 lists takes a greater toll on our image to recruits and alumni than losing a couple announced recruits to theft.
  4. ...all that $ spent for what? Just to whip UNT?
  5. Great! Get any 12 students that WANT to be on the sidelines for games, cheer experts or not (who really cares?), then give them the uniforms. If the current ones don't want to be there then I don't want them there!
  6. It shouldn't take a coach to get volunteer students out to support THEIR school.
  7. The best thing you can do to express change is needed is to email the BOR and RV. They won't miss 2, 100, or even a 1000 fans, and know why, but they will read your email and then know why.
  8. As we were watching a Bowl game tonight, my brother-in-law asked me what happened to North Texas football this year. I had to pause and really think about a semi-short answer for someone that doesn't follow NT could understand. I started about our senior QB had graduated, then about the loss of some players to grades, then how we can't beat anyone outside the SunBelt and now we can't beat them, and then...oh, heck with it I said....it's the coaching!
  9. SBC Basketball TV Schedule
  10. Not sure on the exact NCAA ruling on # of non-D1 games allowed or when/if they're recognized by the NCAA. Conference rules may also dictate whats allowed to be played. Our official record is 4-4 and media recognizes us as 4-4 now; but for NCAA D1 stats only D1 games are used for calculations and rankings, thus the NCAA sees us 2-4 but allows total record to reflect all games played. Clear as mud?
  11. "May the Force Be with You".....
  12. Our RPI is figured using our record in games only against other D-1 programs, which as ArkStFan pointed out is just 2-4 and we're ranked 230-something.
  13. 3 minutes and 2 inches from a 4-2 record.
  14. The schools have to submit attendance numbers in like Oct. , or projections if it's a new school for the following fall. Then classifications numbers are determined around Feb when the new realligned districts are determined. There was talk at one time of going to a 6A Division like some states have, instead of the 5A DI, DII playoffs.
  15. Basketball is making progress. If you've watched the past many years you'd see the difference in athletes we now have. Football is falling. DD won't keep up with times, and who has he beat besides, sorry to say it, lousy SBC teams?...NO ONE. We fell to 77 ship players last year and likewise if you've watched the progress it's not where it should be for having won 4 so-called championships.
  16. Do the dancers fall under different funding? They seem more spirited and are at more games. It should be about cheering for your school first, not show me the money first.
  17. But....you can't win with youth I thought??
  18. Thanks for the post. It was a fun game, I always enjoy when the visitors bring a lot of fans, and spirited ones. I wish more NT students would have been there, they missed a good one. Good luck to the Coogs.
  19. Thanks, and Merry Christmas to ya'll (Texas slang) too. We (UNT) will miss Coach Mac, he was good for our program.
  20. I sent a contribution. Does athletics or JJ know about him and his situation?
  21. What would you estimate the school's crowds were? On TV in the far stands it looked like KU = 5000, UH = 3000, general = 2000. I was surprised Houston got rocked so badly. Their pumped fans after leaving the SuperPit were probably a little tamer after the football game (ha!).
  22. I recall a 10 point lead for UH in the second half before NT made a comeback.
  23. sorry; signing day is February 1, 2006
