  1. I would not call this win ugly. For context I believe SFA was better than South Alabama. Their offense was better and we held them to 20 points vs 38 points for USA. Their defense was better and we scored 42 (if we didn't kneel down) vs 52 against USA.
  2. Best logo we ever had/have. Not many schools un-retire a logo, but we should because it is so loved!
  3. Excellent!! Great job. Bring them to Lubbock...
  4. This was critical to keeping the new students engaged with UNT sports. If they will say it was fun, we won, had a good time, etc...they will tell their friends that didn't come and next game we get more students! It's like when you try a new restaurant, and like it, and tell friends and come back for more.
  5. This is exactly what is rushing Morris into making poor throws and interceptions. It's also what got Mason Fine rushed and banged up. If we lose Morris, since the freshman are getting no game reps, you can kiss the season goodbye.
  6. The ESPN+ announcers mentioned that SFA, and many FCS schools now, are getting more FBS transfers. They just want playing time and it's making the quality of FCS teams better than ever. Several starters for SFA had FBS backgrounds.
  7. Nice win for UH today, oh wait....another loss?...never mind.
  8. ESPN point spread today is UNT -23, total points = 72.5, lol.
  9. 10 programs (11 with Army) in the AAC have baseball. What are they doing different with Title IX or better than us to afford it? https://theamerican.org/standings.aspx?standings=109 I know it's on our Master Plan. However with donors now giving to NIL instead of program projects, plus NCAA settlement debt, athletic budgets become more difficult. It would take a major sponsor/donor. Or we could cut some non-revenue, non-attendance sports like track, swimming, and golf to provide a more fan-friendly spring sport!
  10. They paid to swim with the sharks. I hope they get Eaten!
  11. Agree! But I will reserve total judgement until the game results are in!
  12. It's like you can't pay or bribe players.....until everyone does it anyway....ok, now it's alright.

  16. The PAC2 will delay as long as possible and only join the MWC (G5) if no other option is available. They would prefer to raid the MWC and rebuild the PAC but that could involve hefty paid incentives to cover exit fees to lure teams out of the MWC. The WSU Prez said they prefer a smaller 8-team conference. They have a self-imposed deadline of making a decision by Feb 2025. That would give time to negotiate adding teams and a media deal if they choose to rebuild the PAC in time for the 2026 season.

  19. Not a prediction, but a stat from the South Bama fan forum... SkullyMaroo Posted on Sep 2nd, 1:22 PM, , User Since 201 months ago, User Post Count: 13757 Sep 2nd, 1:22 PM 201 months 13757 Right now, before Boston College plays their first game against FSU tonight, we are looking at the following top 5 passing offenses in the country following game one: Ole Miss - 529 yards per game Auburn - 451 yards per game North Texas - 446 yards per game Colorado - 445 yards per game South Alabama - 432 yards per game USA/UNT at least played each other as FBS teams.
