  1. That doesn't sound like the definition of Colo St or Fresno. Neither are really National brands nor strike fear in P4 schools.
  2. That's like $mut winning the ACC virtually every year.
  3. Brands are important, but G5 Brands and sports quality can vary by coach and year (as we well know). Media markets are also needed by a conference. A balance of both is best. The WSU Prez said earlier this year, when considering re-forming the PAC, that they wanted to stay lean. I took that to mean 8-10 schools max, not 12-16 like the P4 is doing.
  4. Missouri. They just accepted a MWC invite....
  5. Compare number of feathers on that helmet to our helmet. Even the feather arrangement is different from our helmet. I don't really care, our feather helmet is as ugly as Oregon's either way. Why do we even have a Full Logo if we're not going to use it in helmet Branding??
  6. The PAC took the best MWC assets first = Boise and SDSU. Not sure why CSU and Fresno over AF and UNLV? I think now they are in evaluation mode with the new members, getting media estimates, before their next move. It will be a showdown between PAC and AAC to see who blinks first. I bet AAC is already on the phone to AF. If I'm Jared, I'm on the phone to UTSA, Memphis, and Tulane seeking a group effort to either go or stay as a foursome.
  7. NW State hasn't won a game since Nov. 2022. They suspended their season last year after an 0-6 start when a player was killed and they fired the coach.
  8. It's not close to ours is what you meant to say. Your Google must be asleep...
  9. You are right, UH is better at some athletic events than we are... The University of Houston's football program was placed on probation by the NCAA in 1988 and again in 2019
  10. You should. It's all about Branding these days....and Tech thinks we have Duck helmets. That's like putting a Ft. Worth Trimble Tech helmet on a parking pass for a Tech game. You don't think their Athletic Dept would make a call about it?
  11. Lol, that's an Oregon helmet on that parking pass! Seriously, that is not our shade of Green, those are not our feathers, and we wear Oakley helmet masks/shields, Oregon wears Nike....
  12. This would be you....
  13. That is what the UNLV board is saying: change their name to Las Vegas State and get an invite.
  14. South Alabama is crushing NW State 45-10 in the 2nd quarter.
  15. I don’t know anyone that watches Tulane or Memphis. They were both bad football not that long ago. You don’t think UNT and Rice being in a large media market helped? La Tech and Southern Miss would like a word with you…
  16. …in all 3 phases!
  17. The Texas schools offer larger media markets than Memphis and Tulane, plus less distance and better airport connections.
  18. If it’s a feeding frenzy, the Big12 may be buyers also.
  19. Well, Cal and Stanford are locked into the ACC, they aren’t coming back to join a Boise State, et al. And you just eliminated every other feasible candidate West of the Mississippi. So much for being the best “West Coast Conference”.
  20. Yes. If it’s not worthy enough to complain about, it’s not worthy enough for GMG.com!
  21. Yes, the exit fees are nice, but it won’t last them long if their Conference value has been cut in half for their next media contract. “What does hang over the Mountain West is its television deal, which recently added TNT Sports as a third partner and runs through 2025-26.”
  22. Should we be buyers, sellers, or just spectators?
  23. The 8 remaining MWC schools will be hurting…not only with the loss of some of their best brands…but their media contract renewal soon will suffer too. I bet many of them are on the phone to the AAC seeking shelter.
