1983 was a terrible year for NT Athletics. We dropped to 1-AA and stopped using the Flying Worm logo. We also dropped Mean Green as our nickname and on uniforms then...went back to Eagles on everything. Worst decisions the Athletic Department ever made!

I don’t know. I went back and watched part of the replay of the Tulsa-La Tech game on ESPN+…. …just to see their uniforms, lol. No, but it was a good way to see Tulsa’s offense and defense. Not impressed.

Agree with building our Brand instead of our closets. Uni changes are fun for the athletes, but I think it confuses viewers new to us. We are not Oregon just yet to be able to pull this off...every week something different.

Many on the Texas State forum are turning their noses up at the AAC anyway. They seem to prefer PAC or MWC, something different from us and UtSa.

He wasn't wrong to turn down a lousy financial deal with the PAC. But his tone is more like "we're only in the AAC until we get a promotion...and we deserve it". After getting smacked down by Navy maybe he should appreciate being a little more humble.

Some Eastern AAC teams would also be against adding more Texas schools. I've seen calls on message boards to move the AAC headquarters and BB tourney further East.
