We are drifting away from the topic, but here is another UNT Esports video that gives more information. Interesting to hear there are Esports scholarships at UNT. Not sure about NIL. Ha. I gotta admit, I don’t know much about Esports, but when my son was younger, he asked me to take him to an Esports Counterstrike GO tournament. These were professional gamers competing for big money. I was shocked to see all the pomp and circumstance of a WWE event. Lights, music, smoke machines, etc. in a sold out arena. Tons of merch for sale and sponsorships. Kids were waiting in line to get autographs from their favorite gamers. It’s hard to describe, but it was definitely more than watching people play monopoly.

I may do that too, but I’ve got a bit of a “corridor of years” theme going down. The son of worm (current logo) is on my trailer hitch cover, the flying worm is on a full sized North Texas State flag I fly on the back, the battle flag is on my spare tire cover, and the NT Alumni logo is on a decal on the back window.

I had a pair of custom flags made. They mount on the front corners of my vehicle. (Very dignitary-like.). I went with the logo of my time at NTSU/UNT.

I have been in 106 in the same seats since Mean Green Stadium (formerly) opened. After the defragmentation exercise from the new seats was complete, I still was given the opportunity to keep my same seats, but I instead chose to inch closer to midfield by moving to 105. My seats for the 2024 season are $215 per seat, not including the MGSF donation.

Brandon Jackson has been the passing game coordinator at Lovejoy for a while. Yes, the same Brandon Jackson that was one of the key wide receivers at UNT during Dodge’s watch (and featured in the video below). I hope Dodge keeps him on staff.

Pretty simple really. Had they lost, we’d have been a half game up on them. Now we are a half game behind them. Plenty of season left. I know.

I’m liking this conference. UTSA beating FAU at the half. Need them to finish it out. Also need Wichita State to come back on USF in the final seconds.
