🦅❇️🦅UNT Climbing in Recruiting Rankings! Hot Damn!
UNT 90 Grad replied to PlummMeanGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
I’m no recruiting expert, but I did notice in the link you provided that in addition to the Star rankings, there is a point system. I believe that is how they say the AAC’s 3 star recruits are better than ours. It’s another degree of granularity. -

Slow pipeline being built between the Mean Green and the Roughriders? 😉 Maybe Mason looks to the Olympics down the road. -

Sad, but that injury in the Cal game likely really changed the rest of his life.

Vote now. Vote often.

I also think it’s SMU on September 9, 2006. Based on the end zone conference champ signage, it is post 2004. UNT won that game 24-6. I don’t remember this game, but I also see on meangreensports.com where we played Arkansas at home on September 29, 2007 and lost 38-29. I suppose it could be that too?

Was there really any question? Unfortunately, until we see significant improvements in UNT, we are right where we belong.

Another big run for Wilson. Best game of his NFL career. Now at 17 carries for 144 yards with a long of 34 yards.

I remember the brawl with Western Kentucky the first time UNT played them. Happened at the end of the game. Most memorable moment was Giovanni Vizza beaning a WKU player in the head with a football. Way to take advantage of your strengths, Gio!

Well, I guess that has changed then. Must have been a lot of people betting on Buffalo. Happy 2020.

I did not say he did and I did not compare the two. I simply said I think their path to the NFL will be similar. I don’t think he’ll be drafted, but I think someone will pick him up as an UFA. He’ll bounce around a bit before seeing any serious playing time.

Unfortunately, I think Darden’s path to the NFL will be similar to Guyton’s. I just think he’s too short to be drafted. I hope I’m wrong.

Darden - DCTF - Offensive Player of the Year
UNT 90 Grad replied to El Paso Eagle's topic in Mean Green Football
Impressive. -
Last I saw, CUSA teams were the underdogs in all but one bowl game (Marshall).

Our poor performance in the bowl amplified Darden’s value. A shame he couldn’t also play on defense.

Um. Added the Myrtle Beach Bowl for those that missed it and want to see the disaster with their own eyes.

***OFFICIAL UNT VS. APPY STATE BEACH BOWL IN-GAME DISCUSSION***

Aune, Bean, and Martin are all redshirt sophomores. If Martin wasn’t in the mix this year, I doubt the coaching staff is looking at him right now as part of the future other than as a backup. I like Martin a lot, I just unfortunately don’t think he’s shown the coaches what they want to see. By the way, with Aune going to be less than a year from 30 years old in his senior year and a girl with debatable place kicking cred coming to UNT to play soccer, has anyone looked to UNT’s Astronomy department to see if we have any student teachers with strong defensive skills?
