I'm considering it. I hate to whimp out, but the forecasted temperature may play a part in my decision.

To the south of the stadium or the parking lot? Are you tailgating in a Denia resident's back yard? Actually, that might be nice. Do they have a pool?

Wait a minute... "rides"...for children of all ages? Now I just have more questions. We talkin'. The Green Pride Log Ride? The Booster Coaster? The Villarral Carousel? I need to know how to prep my kids.

They usually put traffic flow information on the back of the parking permits, right? If you don't have a permit, there should be plenty of room at Fouts. I'm not real concerned.

You hit on a sore spot for me. There is a Rally House down the street from me that used to have an okay selection of UNT gear, but it's been dwindling. When I asked them about it, they said that UNT was trying to keep sales closer to Denton and cutting them out, so all they had to sell was on the shelves and nothing new would be coming in. I followed up with RV and was told that UNT will license to anyone for a relatively small fee. I followed back up with Ralley House again and pushed the issue. They then came back and said that UNT wouldn't let them sell the merchandise with the higher markup Rally House was wanting to charge. Rally House then gave me a sob story about how they can't stay in business with margins that small. Who knows what's really going on.

I think I read that Cougar fans were having some sort of shin dig at Rudy's Barbque. You might try the Holiday Inn & Suites on Centre Place Drive. If you have a chance, check out the local music scene and try some Beth Marie's Ice Cream.

There will still be plenty of opportunity to tailgate behind your car. The drop off thing is just an option. Sorry I wasn't clear.

The "dropping off" talk is because there is a wealth of green space over there where tailgating will be permitted, though it is not right by any parking spaces. Not sure about the other stuff.

Maybe. Although, from what I've heard, the primary reason for keeping practices and scrimmages closed us to help mitigate the risk of this type of info getting out. I did talk to someone that saw the scrimmage and they said nothing serious was noticable, but for all I know, Coach Mac may have put the fear of God in them to keep them from saying anything. I support Coach Mac and if he wants to keep injuries hush hush, that's okay with me. We'll know soon enough come Sept. 1st.

We did the same thing. We spent time at Beth Marie's and then went to the stadium. It was nice getting a close look at the eagle statue. I look forward to seeing it all again tomorrow at the 5K. We had a great time at Beth Marie's. First time to eat something more than just ice cream. Good stuff.

I received a Sun Belt Conference cap yesterday. It's okay, but I would have preferred the polo.

APOGEE is a great name for the stadium. It sounds like what you get when you mix the APATHY many alumni have for the university with the APOLOGY they owe. With all the fantastic changes on campus, I look forward to welcoming many of our departed bretheren back to the green side.
