    Note that the benefit chart states invitation to closed practice (singular) and doesn't specify the sport. Just playing devil's advocate. Seems like I remember those donors being invited to a closed basketball practice at one point. Just sayin'.

    Personally, after purchasing a real jersey at the AD garage sale, I'd rather be able to purchase solid Nike replica jerseys so the shoulders don't balloon up like an 80's prom dress. It depends on whether you plan to wear it or not. Just my opinion.

    Marcus Trice returns an interception 25 yards for a touchdown after LSU's 2nd string QB gets sloppy during garbage time. This is shortly after a North Texas punt that takes a bad bounce into the end zone. This is not how I hope our first TD is scored. This is just my entry.

    I guess I'll take tight hamstring over flying to Dallas for hand surgery. Hopefully Dunbar can get back in the mix and take advantage of the extra RB space while Tanner is away.

    I'm not sure about when it became "official". I always thought that RV just wanted more emphasis on the Mean Green nickname than the Eagles mascot. The fight song was never changed. I'm probably just uninformed because if there was an official change, it would have happened during my dark period of following NT athletics (AKA the 90's). The picture linked below doesn't necessarily "mean" anything, but I thought it was a neat Mean Green featured billboard from the late 80's.     Still my favorite North Texas unis...and yes "EAGLES" is printed on the front...and yes, we had the nickname of "Mean Green" back then too. (probably should have left the last part out in fear of a thread derailment.)

    I really really wanted to go to Houston, but I have a kid related conflict that weekend. ULM is most likely for me, but it depends on the game time, which they haven't announced yet. I'd be driving back after the game.

    I'm going to have to make a trip back to Denton to get some more posters. I gave my last one to the GM at the Plucker's on Lovers in Dallas over lunch. He said he just had to run it past his marketing person tomorrow and then would hang it. He seemed sincere because he wanted to talk about some of the games on the schedule and showed me where he plans to hang it. This is great to me because this location is a few blocks from SMU and is decorated in SMU artifacts, minus the token UT jersey on the wall.

    Wouldn't you then start having the basketball players start living at Victory Hall? That way they are closer to the practice facility as well as to all the other athletic amenities over there. I'm assuming that's the plan. I'm guessing they'll put basketball offices at the practice facility as well.

    I think the sound system and lighting are in need of replacement prior to the video board, IMO.
