    I thought I read he had a tight hamstring and they were being cautious because he needed to be ready for the preseason games. Who knows what the actually story is, but I'll be watching for him tonight.

    I don't know. You could take the kids to see the parade on homecoming. The only unique thing I've seen on family weekend was a visit from Radio Disney. I'm sure there must have been other things I've missed.

    Son of Worm. This is a tie to the Flying Worm, which is what people called the eagle logo from the 70's, which looked like a worm with wings.

    On one of the videos on meangreensports.com they said they'd be reporting from the scrimmage, I believe. I'm not near a computer to validate. (just phone).

    To newbie's point, the benefits PDF was created well before the coaches left. It was actually created before the basketball season was even close to being over. You'll notice the note on the flyer about earning extra points if you renewed by December 2011. They just haven't redone it.

    I was there on the field standing next to a police officer. When Ron was talking, the cop was just shaking his head. The issue was that there was an appreciable delay between the time he said something in the mic and when the sound came out if the speakers. That was throwing him off. It was very funny.

    For those counting, that means we are on par for twice as many closed practice invitations this year than committed in the benefits flyer. Last year the singular practice invitation commitment was met.

    We need a documented history of logos similar to the Helmet Project's history of helmets. Maybe I'll take that as a research project.

    Though I like SOW and hope it remains forever to represent North Texas, we should probably make sure it sticks for at least a decade before we immortalize it in concreate. Until then, I'll take the artist's eagle over a blank wall. I love the idea of text on the bridge itself.

    I'm no expert, but I'd think our OC schedule and how we fare against them drives some of this. If no big names want to play us, I'd think that makes it tougher to get that top 25 ranking because we don't have the opportunity to prove ourselves. Am I wrong?
