  1. Kickoff is at 6pm on September 1st to watch our beloved Mean Green take down the #1 LSU Tigers. Rudy's will have drink specials for North Texas fans. We will have door prizes, courtesy of the UNT Alumni Association. This year I'll be bringing a PA system to the Allen watching parties so we can still hear the game over the cheering. Rudy's is located on the east side of Central Expressway, just south of Stacy Rd in the Villages of Allen. If Allen is just too far for you and Lewisville is more convenient, be sure to check out the sister watching party at Fox and Hound in Lewisville. SO WHO'S COMING TO RUDY'S???
  2. I checked a different source, which also lists this to be in Ohio. Ball State will be at home.
  3. You don't care that FFR is trying to find out what happened to former UNT student Greg Blakeney? I don't know if that makes you a jerk, but it kind of sounds like you missed the point of his post.
  4. Gimme Zach Olen. I used to work with the dad of a friend of his, so we're practically family already anyway.
  5. Grant was right, and I need to stop speed reading. Hospitality room access is a benefit for recent grads. It's called out separately in the benefits flyer, not in the chart part. Sorry for the false alarm. I should know better. Carry on.
  6. Hey Grant.UNT. You might check that. Everything I've heard/read puts the recent grad program on par with the $250 donor level, not $500. Just don't want you to be disappointed this year.
  7. Hopefully you don't see a problem with NOT letting them in too. Access to the hospitality room is a benefit for $500 and greater donors and is not included in the recent grad program, per the benefits chart.
  8. Can't get enough Mean Green talk. Thanks.
  9. I noticed that the North Texas Fan Guide seems to have the most complete information regarding schedule, times, and media. However, it doesn't list the Houston game on CSS. 2012 North Texas Football Schedule DATE OPPONENT TIME Sep 1 at LSU (ESPNU) 6:00 Sep 8 TEXAS SOUTHERN (TXA21) 6:00 Sep 15 at Kansas State (FOX) 6:00 Sep 22 TROY* (Family Weekend) (ESPN3) 6:00 Sep 29 at Florida Atlantic* (ESPN3) 4:00 Oct 6 at Houston 6:00 Oct 16 LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE* (ESPN2) 8:00 Oct 27 at Middle Tennessee* (ESPN3) 2:30 Nov 3 ARKANSAS STATE* (Homecoming) 4:00 Nov 10 SOUTH ALABAMA* (Preview) (TXA21) 4:00 Nov 17 at Louisiana-Monroe* 3:00 Nov 24 at Western Kentucky* Noon BOLD - home games at Apogee Stadium * - Sun Belt Conference games Preview - UNT Preview Weekend All times Central time zone http://www.northtexasfanguide.com/?DB_OEM_ID=1800
  10. Hmmm. I wonder if the could do some sort of elective GPS program that would recognize if a student's cell phone was within the glorious confines of Apogee at an undisclosed time during the games, making them eligible for more points or some sort of reward. It's the hi tech, lower labor version of Emmit's idea.
  11. It's looking like I may be in on this. I've never made it to Friday Night on the Hill or the Clark things before that. I'm looking forward to it.
  12. Seriousness of organized day trip convoy to Monroe rising.
  13. How are we doing on Mean Green Club memberships? Update on basketball practice facility. Baseball! Any news? This is our 100th year of football at North Texas. Anything special planned?
  14. Do you still have a Mean Green themed garage or did you downgrade? Also, haven't found a good reason to upgrade my 120" screen w/HD projector and 7.1 surround sound. I guess a 3D projector would be cool, but I'd have to start eating ramen noodles again.
  15. Retar... Nevermind. I can't go there. I have two special needs kids at home.
  16. I think you forgot to carry the one when multiplying in the North Texas factor.
  17. Dodge got a little preachy about the fact you can use a redshirt any year after people were complaining about him playing Thompson his freshman year after Dodge ran out of QBs.
  18. I don't think it has to be medical though. I just don't know why you'd use it later than freshman year other than medical reasons.
  19. Dude, seriously. If you can go to Houston, go to Houston. I would if I could.
  20. Sounds like CMJ gets it. The main benefit is knowing you've done something to help a kid get an education.
  21. No problem, brah.
  22. Hmmm. Could be a day trip. Convoy anyone?
