I would have done a watching party if I hadn't already promised my son we'd camp at Apogee that night. Someone would need to take a laptop to a willing establishment with wireless Internet access, purchase the Internet feed of the game, and hook the laptop up to the place's TV. Rudy's has always been open to allowing this. I think it's been done at the Denton Rudy's too.

Here are a few ideas: "Coleman (using the Coleman lantern logo) just lit YOU up!" "The GENERAL" with lots of Stars and Stripes for when Patton does something big. "Niko - THE FRENCH ball STICKLER" "Beware of Hardwick on the Hardwood!"

I'll be camping at Apogee Friday night as well..with the big old boom box (that Thor makes fun of) tuned to Hank (and George?) for the basketball game.

I don't think anyone said the students' intent was to disrespect the school. They just said they find it disrespectful, regardless of why the group of students did it.

C'mon now. You have no way to know who reads this board. You don't have to be registered to read it. I suppose the odds around your statement kind of depend on who you consider important. I doubt any of the BOR look at it, but you never know. I think we are being naive if we think there are no players that have ever made a visit. We know player parents are on here. You mentioned Rick being on here from time to time. I know of other University staff that read the board. Who do you consider important that you know doesn't read this board? I'm sure recruits hit the board too. They shouldn't let fan forums interfere with decision making, but these are kids we are talking about. You've gotta think these kids use search engines when researching schools making offers to them. How many search results are this board? A lot of folks think that people like KRAM1 do nothing but blow air up the skirts if the university. I promise you that KRAM1 has his own complaints as well, but he chooses to voice those concerns directly to difference makers. He thinks through the potential of who reads this board. His choice. Regarding not caring what we say, they may not take action on it, but people wouldn't read the board if they didn't care about what was said at some level. Just sayin'.

Where are the folks that used to insist that we were no longer the Eagles? Why haven't they chimed in with their support of the abbreviated fight song? I'd like to see a team cage match between the anti-Eagles faction and the group of students that are so passionate about Eagles that they feel the need to precede the word with MF'ing. Sorry for the pot stirring. Couldn't help myself.

I believe it was some of the students that took it upon themselves to change the lyrics first. I don't think the Green Brigade started this mess. I'm not so sure it was the Green Brigade that made the call to abbreviate the song either.

Brock wasn't in a boot. He was out there throwing passes during warmup before the second half.

It's a shame they didn't get you final stats quicker. You might consider grabbing them from ESPN.com or something if this happens again. It was a bit off following up Hank and George's post game, with complete stats, with the post post game that announced stats that only went through the 3rd quarter. Great job as always guys.

Way to go, children. Unbelievable. I did notice the shortened version at the game tonight. The original version didn't have the chant part in it, so maybe our forefathers knew that having something like that in it would open the door to some potty mouths from a future generation screwing it up for everyone else. Again, unbelievable that it had to come down to this. Sad really.

Kicking it up a notch today with a few sirloin steaks topped with melted garlic butter and blu cheese. Caesar salad and baked potatoes with all the fixings along with some merlot to wash it down.
