I work in downtown Dallas and live in Allen. The weekday complaint is a tired excuse for most, not a reason...no offense.

You know, after attending the Mean Green Club reception on Wednesday, it would be easy to draw the opposite conclusion. It was standing room only and I only recall seeing one person that looked under 35 that wasn't staff or children. I'm sure there were others, but that's all I recall. Dissappointing. And it's not a financial thing. The Mean Green Club offers amazing discounts for recent grads. Could just be that alums from different generations get connected in different ways.

I think even the WKU 33 degrees in the rain game had more than 200. There might have even been 3 times that many.

And the Radisson.

Well nuts. I have TWC and was notified that CBS negotiations have not gone well and as a result, CBS is now blacked out. If they don't get it together, my family will rebel against me and we'll switch providers. Fortunately the game only carried on TWC is a home game.

Still shocking (and just a little sad) to see. ...but a quick mental stroll across the I-35E walking bridge and I'm over it.

I remember when we beat Ball State on the road after they had a spectacular previous season. The Hardline was talking about the game the following Monday afternoon. Referring to North Texas, Corby said "I'm interested!" It only lasted a week though. Beat Georgia and we'll get our share of air time.

Thank you for the kind words. I'm really disappointed to hear about your experience. Hopefully something was learned and will course adjustments will be made next year. As I believe KRAM1 pointed out, this was the first of these events. I know several of us were pleasantly surprised by the attendance and all the new faces. I also hope you'll reconsider and give it another try sometime in the future after the kinks are worked out.

Allen and Fairview are Mean Green friendly. I plan on joining. I hope there will be enough posters.

I swung by Voertman's while I was in Denton tonight. They had quite a bit more gear than I'd seen in there before and it was new stuff I hadn't seen. I talked to one of the employees and he said that the new ownership is now in place. Their focus is in text books right now, but said they only have 30% on the UNT gear they have coming in. They will have a ton of gear and it seemed reasonably priced. ( I saw some thirst for as little as $10.). They said they were not affiliated with the school bookstore. (Seems like a different story each time we ask. )
