  1. I'm a UTSA fan today. Hang loose.
  2. Thanks Harry!
  3. How cheap is "cheap"? Are you talking little plastic flags on wooden dowels or larger flags on metal poles? Wondering if this could be a program funded by donations. Could also maybe be funded through sponsors if they were able to advertise on the dowel/pole.
  4. Somewhere there is a thread with a link to a map of member tailgate locations. The thread was moved around a bit and I don't know where it is anymore and in what forum.
  5. Hey Matt. I think the intent is for these to be Mean Green highlights rather than game highlights. No sense showing recruits highlights of our competition.
  6. This! Don't ever get discouraged. Plan ahead. Lean on the Alumni Association and the Mean Green Club for help with ideas and communication. Gather contact info for people that show up so you can let them know if future events. Try to get ahold of some schwag to give away (posters, pens, etc.).
  7. Thanks guys. I have a great time doing it. I too would love to see something similar going on in more and more counties. We could all learn from each other. Side note: It was great to see the Bud Light sponsored North Texas Alumni banners that Fairview Down Under now has hanging around the restaurant. They are really showing initiative in making this a welcoming home for Mean Green fans.
  8. It was in this week's Mean Green Club newsletter and on meangreensports.com on the Game Day page.
  9. Unless they want to watch it on TXA 21 like the rest of us.
  10. See y'all in the mornin'. GO MEAN GREEN!!
  11. Yes, they do. That's how I streamed the Ohio game at the last watching party.
  12. I believe they are having one at Hooters in Denton.
  13. So where are people planning to go to watch the game?
  14. Sorry, but This. RV has already said at multiple events that we'll be having tailgate trick-or-treating at the Rice game. My kids don't want to miss out on seeing their neighborhood friends in their costumes, all the special things the neighbors do to their houses, etc.
  15. You're right. I should have read the article before posting.
  16. I think they are saying that the new Scrappy more closely resembles the diving eagle logo and they are going to have new apparel with the new Scrappy on it.
  17. I had just checked a few minutes ago and he hadn't updated since Sept 7th. We will likely move up.

  20. Looks like they have changed the cartoon version of Scrappy for print, not the actual mascot costume.
  21. The NT battle flag was intentionally designed with multiple shades of green to represent different shades from our past. Drex?
  22. How could I forget about Hooters?
