I wish we had one of those spider cameras at Apogee. Assuming they fix the color/brightness, etc. on the cameras, I think a spider cam would bring a lot to the video presentation.

Has he been a 4 year starter at center? I didn’t think so. Maybe the 8th grade center has more experience at the position. Speaking of which, is there an age restriction on UNT Athletics interns?

I remembered something I forgot to put in the survey. Did anyone else notice that the Green Brigade didn’t march and play as the players did their walk from the busses? It may have been because every percussionist had stands in their hands. Really? I guess the new heat resistant band uniforms are still not temperature controlled enough and now the drummers can’t hold onto their instruments in the bleachers… to the point they sacrifice the pre-game experience.

When you look at the accolades of some of the quarterbacks we’ve had since Mason, you’ve got to wonder if recruiting is really the problem or are they being coached into mediocrity. The problem doesn’t look to be recruiting on paper. It looks to me like we haven’t had talent in the QB coaching role since Harrell.

He had a solid and balanced touchdown-to-fumble ratio.

We may not need to worry about this hypothetical. Word on the street is that Texas Southern is looking to bounce back after their big loss to Prairie View.

The Pavillion closes 30 minutes before kickoff. Always has. I was hopeful that the transition of the stadium store from B&N to Voertmans would be a step up. It has proven not to be. The parking lot is a real issue. My senior parents pay their MGSF dues so they can park in the blue lot. They have a pass, but the attendants tried to tell them the lot was full. They talked their way in and sure enough, they couldn’t find a place to park. That’s a problem if they are overselling to the pay per game folks to where the folks with passes can’t get in. Traffic getting out of the lot absolutely sucked, and I left at the end of the 3rd…apparently with everyone else.

I don’t think SMU’s preparation for that play is what led to the snap being bowled past the RB. I guess we’ll never know if it was a good call or not in that situation.

TEXAS!!

FINALLY! That is the helmet I always wanted to see, but we’ve never had. If you recall, the green helmets have only had the full white SoW, not the white wings. The closest we’ve had was the green helmet with the silver wings (like we wore when Troy kicked our tail in the New Orleans Bowl). Love it. Bring on the mini helmet version!
