    Correct me if I'm wrong, but neither the Jackson hit nor the Ellis hit wound up being ruled illegal. Correct? Both hits were hard enough that the commentators thought they were illegal initially.

    A question for the older alums: Was "Peck 'em Eagles" something the students used to say way back when? My father insists that used to be something they used to say, like we say " Go Mean Green" today. Can someone confirm or deny? Seems a bit silly to me, but so do a lot if the old school " sis boom bah" cheers that used to go on. Generational thing.

    It used to be here, but not so much now. Unfortunately that makes it unlikely that they'd sponsor a trophy for the match ups.

    Except that when/if we beat UT on the 30th, we will get close to no credit for the win from the media. All the attention will be on the suspensions. Could affect the potential of this being considered a signature win. That said, I'll take the win either way.

    One of these speaking engagements is coming up this week. Note that there may be a small fee for a meal. Please post here if you are planning on going to one of these. I had some people approach me at the Mean Green Club Appreciation Reception to let me know they were planning on attending.

    It's been on my radar to do this in Collin County. I was thinking about Thirsty Third Thursdays. I'm hoping you had a typo in the name. Butgers don't sound appetizing. Seriously though, it'd be great to do this somewhere with UNT ties. PM me as the opening date gets closer to let me know if things are still on track.

    After reading this thread, I thought I'd give the Rally House in Fairview another try. Still no UNT gear, BUT they gave me some good news. The girl in the store (maybe manager) said that all Rally Houses in the area were going to be getting North Texas products within the next few weeks. She said some already had it, including Plano and a few others. She said they were excited to get it. She also said that the gear is available online now with an option for in store delivery/pick-up.

    He said small school. UNT is not a small school. Some of these folks assume that if they don't know much about a school, it must be small. What did you think he meant? Small players? Maybe we get small coverage in the media, but UNT isn't a small school. I heard in a recent presentation that UNT is around the 25th largest university in the country, 3rd in the state. Small when it comes to football. What does that mean?
