  1. This, with grey goose and fresh home made (parking lot made?) Bloody Mary mix.
  2. Unbelivable Natural Talent - 29 Smelly Men's Underwear- 24
  3. I stood by John through the Texas game. Super nice guy. Great fan.
  4. Wasn't he about to become a father? If so, any insight to when? Could be related.
  5. 1. Had a great time with friends I don't see often enough. 2. Bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeños at Silo on Seventh. 3. Waving and honking at fellow fans driving down I35 Friday. 4. Free place to stay on Lake Travis (what there is of it). 5. Light traffic on the way home Sunday. 6. Lots of fun on 6th Street before the game, and North Texas flag hanging outside the Thirsty Nickel. 7. Great Mean Green turnout in the stands.
  6. I bought the last two chairs from Rally House in Plano yesterday. Hopefully they get some more soon. The girl at the register was a UNT alum and was speaking proudly about UNT to some OSU fans making a purchase. She said sales of UNT merchandise has taken off there and that they've had to cut back on some of the UT and A&M merchandise facings to make room.
  7. Unfortunately they closed Fairview Down Under in the offseason. The layout of that place was perfect. We might give Allen Wickers a try again. I think it worked great for us last year for the Southern Miss game. I might give Robert Wolfe a call about starting to use Rudy's again too. We've got some good options. I also want to look at Sauced in Allen and the Hang Out in Plano. Where is Franchise Grill?
  8. Did someone say Ray? Speaking of which, I saw Nathan Tune at the game Saturday. (No dog with him.) I listened to the podcast live. Always fun sitting together virtually and talking NT football.
  9. Thank you all for the great feedback. I'll definitely look for a different spot for future watching parties. The Longhorn Network constraint created some location challenges, but I should have some more flexibility moving forward.
  10. For those of you that went to Vickery Park in Plano for the watching party, can you provide some feedback here? I wasn't there (I was at the game), but am wondering if you'd like me to schedule future watching parties there. Was the size of the place adequate? Did the room max out? How was the service? Could you see and hear the game adequately? How was the food and drink? Any pics you can post? I'm going to start working on booking a place in Collin County for the Indiana game soon, once I can find out where it's being broadcasted. I'll also work on getting door prizes since I'll be there in person this time. Thanks and Go Mean Green!
  11. This. Last night reminded me of some poor QB play I witnessed at our game against USF in 2002. Andrew wound up turning his play around. https://inthenews.unt.edu/sites/default/files/PDF/2002/10/6/10_06_2002_FWST_Fallshort.pdf
  12. Game day bump! Pack this place and take pics for me folks! I'll be at the game.
  13. He wasn't broken down, was he?
  14. I went back by today and picked up a pair of car flags for the trip to Austin.
  15. North Texas 13 Other Texas 38 I hope I'm wrong.
  16. Longhorn Extra following the HOD rebroadcast was good to watch. Lots of North Texas talk along with game clips and McCarney press conference clips. Also included a phone interview with Brett Vito.
  17. I visited Rally House Texas in Plano yesterday... PLEASE GO GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!! They also had North Texas lanyards, car emblems, tailgating chairs, and decals.

    Rally House Texas in Plano!
  19. No problem at all. Plenty of time to spare.
  20. Any body else on here coming to this???
  21. This. If you live around SMU, just hop on the Red Line and get off at the Downtown Plano stop. Vickery Park is right there.
  22. I caught that as well, and I agree. I expect Ash's frail body won't be able to withstand our defense.
  23. Not the Longhorn Network though.
  24. Logic would dictate that judging last year's field talent would give you the closest comparison for this year. Seems logical that this is also how you would evaluate the results of recent recruiting. SMU may have arguably had tougher competition, but they also wound up with a worse win/loss record. Not sure how you can give the edge to either team. We'll see what happens on the field.
