I have a theory here. I sit relatively close to the field on the alumni side. Watching McNulty send plays in, I noticed he had some sort of plastic shell around the lower part of his leg and a black sock pulled up almost to his knee covering most of it up. Is he hurt? Is that why he didn't come in against LA Tech? We all know Mac keeps injury information close to the vest. Another injury question, did Greer get hurt when he ran in the touchdown? Go back and watch the replay. I noticed that he got up quickly as to celebrate but quickly clammed up. A few players ran up like they were going to celebrate and quickly settled down and were acting a bit gingerly around him as they exited the field. Shortly afterwards is when Dajon came in. It's possibly we see Dajon start the next game, but maybe not for the reasons you might think. Lots of speculation here.

What I can't tell from watching Dajon play last night was his mastery of the play book. All this talk about maturity and missing practices leads me to believe that he hasn't grasped everything yet. That said, at this point, I have no problem dumbing down the offense to get Dajon in there. Just not sure how sustainable that would be.

So we can use Stars and Stripes as long as they aren't arranged to look like the flag? Seems like it could be interpreted that way, in which case there wouldn't be anything wrong with the LA Tech helmet, correct?

My prediction came after watching only the first quarter of the Tech/Lafayette game. Did Tech start looking better later or something?

As far as providing an emotional lift prior to the kickoff goes, this new one may be the least effective in our history that I've seen, IMHO.

I'm curious to see how our attendance turns out for Southern Miss. Mid-October 6pm start. USM has good name recognition for the spare to fare football fan. History of being a pretty good team. Local alum base? Travels well? We'll see.

Heading there from downtown Dallas right after work. Should squeak in before kickoff. Meeting a buddy there (non-alum, blossoming t-shirt fan).

Are you sure the second half was missing or are you just confused by the half of the game where SMU was on offense?
