Thanks for posting this. When I read the first post in this thread, I was thinking that I heard the term "embarrass" and not "bad mouth". Nor did I recall anything about social media. Seems to be a case of assumptions and misinformation in the thread. That said, I did assume he was talking about players self destructing publicly. I'd expect them to be mad and bummed based on their recent performances.
Mac's job is to coach and inspire the team. If calling out the team or players is what he professionally thinks will inspire certain individuals to improve, he's doing what we are paying him to do. It's not the players' responsibility and isn't productive for them to go off negatively in social media, in my opinion. You can't hold players and coaches to the same standard. They all have different roles in the success of the overall team.
