  1. My understanding is that the uniform change is tied to the Nike plant change. Why all this helmet change talk?
  2. If someone ran onto the field, it happened after I left. We wound up taking off after the 6th inning. (It was getting late for the kids.)
  3. I've talked to people with ties to the Alumni Association and the Mean Green Club. They are looking at possibly doing a meet up in Shreveport the night before the game. That would be great.
  4. My sons and I had a great time at the game. Craig Robertson did throw out the first pitch. Lots of green in the stadium (more than I expected) and a ton of folks wearing the Mean Green Rangers hats, which were only given to people that bought the special UNT tickets. Seemed like in almost every crowd shot shown on screen, you could see someone wearing UNT gear. We sat near some folks that brought a Mean Green battle flag. We enjoyed standing and singing the UNT fight song with other Mean Geen faithful each time it was played on the PA.
  5. Say. The road game against LA Tech is a 2:30 kick. I was planning to stop off in Shreveport on my way back and figured there will be several Mean Green faithful staying in Shreveport. Is there a good place we could have a meetup after the game, possibly a casino bar, to celebrate our victory or drown our sorrows? I haven't spent much time in Shreveport.
  6. We got there around 7:00 and had a family tailgate in the blue/red parking lot. There was a very diverse crowd, which is good to see. It wasn't packed, which made for more room for frisbee throwing and what not in the parking lot. Cars were generally parked around the fringe for the most part. Yes, they did have an important exit closed. The section of the blue/red lot by the Hill was blocked off because that is where the fireworks were being launched from. As a result, the exit at the service road / North Texas Blvd. intersection could not be reached. Everyone had to exit to Bonnie Brae. They at least had someone directing traffic where that lot feeds onto Bonnie Brae by the tennis center. (We took the left mentioned earlier.)
  7. La Tech is now very likely for me.
  8. I hope I'm wrong, but going with 3-9. Win over Smelly Men's Underwear, break the Saint Anthony curse, and win homecoming.
  9. SMU and possibly La Tech.
  10. For those in the Collin County area, any interest in having an early afternoon meet up at say Vickery Park in old downtown Plano then walking over to the train station to go to the game? Other ideas?
  11. I'll be there with my oldest son. We'll probably take the train. I purchased our tickets through the North Texas Ticket Office. I'm hoping the Mean Green Club or the Alumni Association have a good tailgate plan in the works.
  12. @KRAM1 , your favorite quote doesn't include who said it. Maybe I should know, but not sure who Walt is.
  13. I liked when Coach Mac noted that we went from 4-28 to 5-28 against SMU last year, followed by saying that NOW we have a rivalry. Good stuff.
  14. I'll have to remember next time I'm in Denton. This is the best place to buy North Texas Battle Flags too!
  15. I think he was referring to the quantity of your posts vs. their quality. Carry on.
  16. . This, plus swap the silver for black so that we are actually using university supported colors. Also, I agree with the others that voiced that SOW needs to be repositioned.
  17. I haven't done it in a few years, but go to the EA Sports website. The have a feature somewhere for creating your own uniforms and stadium attributes. You might have to have a Gold membership to download your work to your XBox.
  18. They used to do it at night, but not that many people showed up. Trying something new.
  19. Yeah, if Boise was like Denton, instead of orange and blue you'd find ... ummm ... uhhh ... who are the other shows in town in Idaho again? Wait, what else is there to do in Idaho? Give me Denton.
  20. I like the one about fan base pressure leading to redshirt freshman starting. That's good stuff. This thread reeks of aluminum foil head gear.
  21. That was my recollection as well. I was just thinking about this yesterday.
  22. For what it's worth, I'm not selling these shirts. I'm just willing to share how I had it made.
  23. PM me if you want to get hold of one of these.
  24. We can debate about whether or not we have a rivalry with SMU. Either way, I like my shirt I had made for the annual game.
