  1. WKU took a different approach at their stadium. They put a press box and cameras on the visitor side and the much larger club level and seats on the home side. That way, the stadium looks more impressive on camera and better view of the WKU sideline instead of the visitors. Seems a little wheels off that their logo on the 50 faces the visitor side for the cameras, but it all seems for the cameras.
  2. While I agree with this currently, I think potential is there. If UTSA continues to get national recognition and remains competitive, their proximity and competition for recruiting could make them a good natural rival. The same reasons hold with SMU. In both cases, teams need to be consistently competitive with each other. We currently lack that consistency.
  3. For friends in Tarrant County:
  4. I think you’ll like it. I’ve received feedback from several that this is the best place we’ve held these.
  5. I wore my kilt to the game, which I do periodically. (Don't judge.) I'm walking in and one of the security guards at the gate said "Sir, she is going to need to check inside your bag." I looked at her oddly and then looked down at my sporran and said "This?!?" Sure enough. I awkwardly opened it up and gave a gentle pelvic thrust so she could see inside it. That was a first in my history of game day experiences. I could hold more in my pockets than I could in that thing.
  6. Great ideas. I received a game experience survey today. Hopefully you did too and can add these to the survey. Seems like each week I see that they changed something that seems to be based on survey results. This week they cut the ADA lot space in half so people could still get to the prime tailgating spots. They seem to be listening if you share feedback in the surveys.
  7. BATTLE FOR FIRST PLACE IN CONFERENCE USA! Join fellow Mean Green fans to watch the University of North Texas take on the UT San Antonio Roadrunners from the McKinney ChopShop Sports Garage. We'll have plenty of UNT swag and door prizes to be awarded at half time. $5 Mean Green Shots will be available. The game will be shown on multiple TVs around the restaurant and bar with game audio throughout. This event will be the next best thing to being at the game! https://fb.me/e/2VFHu2eKb
  8. Well, we had video-game-like rushing statistics.
  9. If I recall correctly, you can thank Matress Mack for that. Dickey didn’t even want them named after himself. (Wanted them to be named posthumously after former UNT QB Andrew Smith.)
  10. No doubt. If not for the band on the field, I was thinking from the air the Navy Seals might have thought they had the wrong stadium. I'm not sure how the home side looked from the student side, but the student side looked pretty anemic again today. I suppose we've lost them for the year due to the early season non-conference losses?
  11. Ha! Makes me laugh when folks use the word “then” when they meant “than”. Really changes the sentiment of the sentence.
  12. I think I would like it better if the decal on the helmet matched the number on the sleeve. Too many different fonts, colors of green, patterns, etc.
  13. I dunno. This threw me as well. It says “woman”, not “women”. Do we have a Senior Man Administrator?
  14. I have the same in my closet. Received it as a Christmas gift one year. I still wear it occasionally on Sundays.
  15. "Rhythmically" it works using the lyrics above but would not have worked when modified to reference "our university" (6 syllables) rather than our dear old college (5 syllables).
  16. Nice try x 2. Look to the left of the image and you see the band sitting where the band sits. Back to the topic of the thread. #quitters
